Develyn woke up early the next morning. Sans plans to get the thing done as early as possible, that way they won't experience a run in with the criminal. Develyn didn't have much time to wake up, as Sans teleported his was into the Dreemurr household the moment Develyn reached downstairs, which gave a scare to Develyn to where he was shocked fully awake.

"How many times do I have to tell you to warn me?!" Develyn shouted.

"Take some consideration, some of your family members are still sleeping," Sans answered, avoiding the question. Develyn groaned.

"Let's do it, then. I have the SOUL replicated and put into a separate Black SOUL Gem. Thing is, this replica is weaker than the original," Develyn added.

"Alphys might have an idea anyway. Let's go," Sans added. Sans and Develyn soon took a shortcut to the interior of the mountain, right in front of a mysterious door that wasn't present when Frisk did her journey through the mountain.

"I don't recall this door being here, according to Frisk," Develyn noted.

"Yeah, but I know it's here. It was hidden with Frisk, for some odd reason," Sans added.

"You mean, it was here when the other seven humans fell, including Chara?" Develyn asked.

"Gaster was alive when Chara was around. After she and Asriel died, Gaster disappeared a couple weeks later," Sans added.

"That makes sense," Develyn noted.

"Well, I have another key that leads to this room. Let's see if it works," Sans noted. They key ended up working, as the door was open and the key mysteriously disappeared upon it's use. The door closed and locked behind Sans and Develyn.

"Uhh, is it suppose to do that?" Develyn asked.

"I don't think so," Sans noted. "I have a cool down with the shortcut anyway," Sans added.

"I can teleport the three of us out of here anyway," Develyn noted.

"That's always good," Sans noted. The two walked to the dormant Monster, who hasn't made an appearance in 14 years, Dr. Wing Din Gaster, or W. D. Gaster as he's known professionally.

Develyn broke the SOUL gem containing the replica SOUL of Chara Dreemurr, who Develyn killed three years ago.

Gaster awoke and mysteriously looked at the SOUL, and cocked his head toward the side at the Hybrid. Gaster took the SOUL, but it manipulated it's body far more than anticipated. Gaster gained a bunch of unknown power.

Gaster immediately summoned his famed Gaster Blaster, which Sans also has. Sans used his own to counteract the spell, which didn't damage Develyn.

Develyn only had one thing in mind. The Drain Vitality shout. It's one of his most dangerous shouts at the moment. One shout using all three words can nullify the target's stamina, magic, and health to a value of one. Since Develyn's attacks are strong, the next hit is bound to be fatal.

But he doesn't want that shout to hit Sans as well, so he has to strategize. Gaster soon did another dangerous attack: Chromas. Seven hands appeared, each did a unique attack. Sans got overwhelmed. Develyn soon stood in front of Gaster. Held out his arm in a shield-like manner, and deflected all of the attacks. Gaster and Develyn did a few exchanges of attacks. Sans trickled in here and there. Eventually, Gaster provided his most powerful attack. Develyn used his shield once more.

"There's no way he's alive," Sans noted.

Develyn emerged from the ashes, which stunned both Sans and Gaster.

"GAAN! LAH!" Develyn shouted. The shout knocked Gaster's magic down. His stamina was knocked out to the point he was knocked over, but remained conscious. Gaster's vision was blurred.

Sans got Gaster up.

"Unh... Sans?" Gaster asked.

"Yeah... It's me," Sans answered.

"And who is this young fellow?" Gaster asked.

"Develyn," Develyn answered.

"He's my friend, and he's part of the Dreemurr family," Sans added.

"What?! Since when? Did he ever fall?" Gaster asked.

"Fall? I never fell. Monsters have been out of their prison since 2015," Develyn answered.

"No way..." Gaster added.

"Since it's been a while, why don't you join us up there? I'm pretty sure Asgore would be relieved to see you," Sans noted.

"I would love to, but I don't feel like my self. I mean, I nearly killed a... How old are you Develyn?" Gaster asked.

"I'm 12," Develyn answered.

"Don't worry about that. Someone will get you back to normal," Sans added.

"You sure?" Gaster asked.

"Yeah, put you into a physical body, instead of this spectral form with a weak SOUL," Develyn answered.

"I... can't thank you two enough. You know how long I've waited to be back?" Gaster asked.

"14 years. It sounds like an eternity," Sans answered.

"Well, let's go..." Gaster noted.

Alphys was fixing Mettaton's software up so that he can better superlatives for the sports. Mettaton has recently taken up on sports commentary, commentating football, baseball, soccer, and hockey. However, he mostly throws advertisements in there every few minutes. Alphys is trying to nullify those, as she's trying to get them replaced with racing commentary, as Mettaton is expected to commentate on a few cross country races this fall, as well as the upcoming 2020 Track and Field Meet, known as the Svalbard Classic. She also plans to have him commentate some motorsports as well.

Alphys heard the lab buzz in a quiet tone. This means that a visitor has arrived. Alphys got out of her seat and went to the front door.

"Oh, it's you guys... Is that who I think it is?" Alphys noted before looking at a tired Gaster and a SOULwise weak Gaster.

"Yeah, it's us. Listen, I was wondering if you could put Gaster into a physical body with an artificial Monster SOUL?" Sans asked.

"Uhh. This is an egregious task, but let's see if I can get it done," Alphys answered. Alphys was able to take Gaster into an operating room and got to work.

*** The next day

Gaster awoke in a room fully lit. He took a moment to scan his surroundings. His vision was back to normal. He soon looked at his hands. Each hand had a hole in the middle. He was able to control his hand freely. He looked at the monitor, which has his medical information as follows.

Name: Dr. Wing Din Gaster

Age: 75 (This is entirely made up)

DOB: [REDACTED]

SOUL Type: Monster

SOUL Stability: Stable

Alphys entered the room to see Gaster awake.

"Alphys... I..." Gaster noted.

"You're welcome. Sans and Develyn made this request," Alphys noted.

"I want to get a gift for Develyn. He's got a dangerous arsenal, but I think I can make it more stronger," Gaster added.

"I mean... You just woke up after being a ghost for 14 years. Take some time to regain your strength before you can manufacture his gift," Alphys explained.

"Alright," Gaster noted. Gaster is really relieved he's back in his normal body, with an artificial Monster SOUL to go with it. He's definitely gonna give Develyn a gift to remember.
