The next day began rathe quickly. The twins, Dark and Dawn were off doing their summer programs at the Ebott School. Ebott School has certain programs for children, so they have a form of education before they enter preschool.
The weather was bright at first, but it quickly turned into a gloomy sight outside. This baffled meteorologists at the local news station, as they thought it would be a sunny day. They immediately made changes based on the surrounding conditions. They predicted cloudy skies with a chance of rain.
The rain came, but the temperature continued to plummet.
"This is so unusual. Why is it like that?" Asriel asked.
"I'm not sure, Az," Develyn answered.
The weather got so cold, snow started to begin falling. Snow in the summer is extremely uncommon, unless there are places in higher elevation or higher in latitude. Soon, the emergency broadcaster went off in the house.
"This is a city-wide emergency, an attack at Ebott School is beginning to unfold. We advise parents and guardians to pick up their children at the school until told to by the police department. The school is under lockdown," the voice explained.
"CRAP! The twins are there!" Toriel screamed.
"What are we gonna do?" Asgore asked.
"Well, we gotta save them," Develyn answered.
"You crazy?! With a serial killer on the loose, you'll meet a nasty fate," Asriel added.
"Just stick with it, Az. You're coming with me. Andy, Frisk, you're coming with me also," Develyn noted.
"Seems fair," Andy added, realizing the spells he was taught yesterday might work.
The four kids hopped on their bikes and pedaled at breakneck speed toward the school. Already, the police lined the front of the school.
"Oh great, where are we gonna go?" Andy asked.
"Follow me," Develyn answered.
The kids followed Develyn to the back of the school. The kids got in through there. What they saw was a horrifying sight. Whispy things, called dementors, flying around. Kids running around in the halls, screaming. The lights were out, leaving the school in a near pitch-black scenario.
"What are those things?" Asriel asked.
"Dementors. These vile creatures feed off the happiness of these kids. The reap over the fear and despair around them," Andy answered.
"Watch out for the kiss. If you get you're SOUL sucked out, you're either dead, or a vegetable," Develyn added.
"Well, they could be anywhere. They could be running, or in a classroom," Asriel added.
"Split up, but Frisk, you stick with your brother, you got that?!" Develyn asked.
"Yeah, will do," Frisk answered.
The kids soon split up to look for the twins. Andy and Frisk took the hallway to the left, Asriel went straight down the middle, while Develyn took the hallway to the right. Develyn and Andy had skills to ward off the dementors; with Andy having the Patronus Charm and Develyn having the Dismay shout. Asriel and Frisk technically have skills, but they don't last for long.
Develyn started off checking the classes. Obviously, most of the doors were locked. He mostly asked for Dark and Dawn, but they didn't have them in there. Along the way, he saw some unwanted sights. Kids and adults either dead or in a vegetative state, after succumbing to the Dementor's Kiss, the most deadliest attack a dementor can provide. Develyn had an encouter with one.
