The children woke up early in the morning to head to Gaster's lab. Alphys recently vacated the lab to become a R&D scientist at the Royal Guard and the Ebott County Police Department. This left Gaster to manage the lab himself. Gaster was also recently enrolled into the Ebott County Science Committee, a committee featuring the top scientists in the entire county of Ebott. Some scientists from outside Ebott County, and outside Colorado all together are a part of the program as well.

It was about 8 AM when the children reached Gaster's lab, which didn't receive much change since Gaster took control of it full time.

"Oh, morning," Gaster noted.

"Up early, huh?" Asriel asked.

"Yup, gotta do research, like always. I have a presentation to give soon on what to do with Bête Noire soon. I have an idea, but you guys might call me crazy for it," Gaster answered.

"What is it?" Frisk asked.

"It involves constructing a magical barrier to keep her contained inside city limits," Gaster answered. Gaster immediately regret what he said.

"You might wanna find some changes. With a barrier constructed, not only she won't leave, but the others won't leave as well. No one will enter the city as well. She'll have a hayday when she realizes there are seventy thousand victims at her disposal, only to get bored once she's finished with them all," Develyn explained.

"I mean... If you think about it, she'll never escape. She won't go around, terrorizing other cities and towns," Asriel added.

"Forget about that anyway. What are you guys here for?" Gaster asked.

"We're here to get my brother's SOUL analyzed," Frisk answered.

"Oh goodness. Umm. Let's get a look. I'm not sure if the software would accept a sample this early in the day," Gaster added.

Gaster led the kids to the room where SOUL Analysis takes place. Develyn remembers this place, as this is where he had his SOUL analyzed three years prior.

"Sit yourself on the chair, Andy," Gaster added. Andy sat himself in the chair. The kids sat in chairs opposite the monitor. "Relax that arm for me. You'll feel a slight pinch," Gaster noted.

"OK," Andy added. Andy's arm went limp, which was enough for Gaster to get a reasonable sample of blood from. Gaster plugged the sample into a USB port, which then went into a computer.

The monitor soon read the following: PROCESSING SAMPLE. Everyone in the room waited a few minutes for the sample to finish processing. Gaster kept an eye on his watch, cause he has an important meeting with the Science Committee soon online. Eventually, the sample finished processing.

"OK, let's get a look," Gaster noted.

The information was the following:

Name: Andrés Devin Shields

DOB: September 13, 2006

Age: 12

SOUL Trait: Determination

SOUL Positivity: Positive (+)

HATE Content: 5%

VENGEANCE Content: Borderline (50%)

DETERMINATION Content: 80%

PURITY Content: 70% (OVERFLOW)

"Purity? Never heard of that before," Asriel asked.

"It determines how powerful your magical abilities are. With him at 70%, they're extremely powerful," Gaster added.

"What's my power?" Andy asked.

"Strange... Your blood composition is unique. No, it's not draconic, like Develyn, but the blood has some magical properties. Let's look at the family tree," Gaster explained. The Spanish side, which was from his mother, as well as Frisk's was different. The last name Marrero was soon spotted. Gaster immediately connected it to Inigo Fuente Marrero, a Spanish wizard who played for the Spanish Quidditch Team in 1994. Andy and Frisk's mother knew Inigo as her older brother.

"Here we are. Inigo. He was a wizard that was related to your mother. I keep going more upwards, then I see people who are alumni of Beauxbatons," Gaster added.

"Did my mother have magical ability?" Andy asked.

"Strangely, she was considered a squib, which is when a wizard has been unable to possess magic. So, it seems to me you got it, and it's only male dominant when it started with your mother and Inigo. When I look at your mother's parent's however, your grandfather was the wizard, while your grandmother wasn't," Gaster explained.

"Interesting," Andy added.

"That doesn't explain me, though," Frisk added.

"That's because you're different, Frisk. You're special, as if the Divines gave you the power time and manipulate the timeline, and released Monsters from their prison," Gaster noted.

"That makes sense," Frisk noted.

The kids soon went back home, but Develyn has to take Andy to Timberfield Park to teach some magic spells. To become a dangerous wizard, he has to learn some spells. The spells Andy knows from his dreams won't be at his disposal immediatley.

But before he can do any of that, Andy has to choose a wand, which is quite difficult. Develyn went to a wizard shop to get five wands to see if one of them matches Andy's desire. In the end, the wand chooses the wizard.

Develyn hopes his role as a teacher to Andy pays off, and Andy can become a powerful wizard as he sees in his dreams, and could be a critical piece in the puzzle for defeating Bête Noire.
