The next day arrived soon enough. The criminal, now identified as Bête Noire, is still on the loose. Government officials now put a bounty on her head. A $500,000 reward is expected for the person who brings her to justice, whether she's dead or alive.
Many citizens are beginning to fear their own lives, as Bête is starting to plot attacks on certain corporations. The town of Ebott has worked together to provide places of gathering for emergency purposes. The following places have been selected: Svalbard Arena, Ebott School, and the legendary Mount Ebott.
The school is a bit iffy, as young children around Dark and Dawn's age have summer programs they're interested in going after. If Bête does a large scale attack and the school was filled to the brim with adults and children and Bête were to attack it, things would be really rough.
Gaster just finished up gathering the evidence he needs so the kids can view the fight between two siblings: Agate and Copper Lightvale. (To clear up confusion, this has zero connection to Petra Lightvale, Adamus Lightvale, as well as the rest of the Lightvale family, since they're Monsters) There is also stuff that is also key, like how to defeat Bête Noire. Develyn, however, is doubting the information, since the battle took place four thousand years ago, since documents acquired from that point in history are always incomplete.
The documents could wind up missing, be burned by an invading tribe or civilization, or other things that can make the documents appear as obsolete. Not to mentions, things change throughout history. New evidence can appear through scientific documents that completely bust the ones from an experiment that was conducted thousands of years ago.
The four children soon headed into a special compartment of the lab, where a pensieve was spotted.
"What the heck is that thing?" Asriel asked, as he's never seen it before.
"It's called a pensieve. The purpose of this ewer is to see memories from years past. But that's not all, you actually get a front row seat to it all," Develyn answered.
"So, it's kinda like time travelling?" Asriel asked.
"Sort of. You can't tamper with the past. You're basically a ghost. People can't hear you, people can phase through you, all of that stuff," Develyn added.
"Well, it's ready to go. Dip your heads in and it'll start. Don't worry about drowning. It won't happen," Gaster noted.
The four kids dipped their head into the pensieve, and the memories began.

The year was 2000 BCE. The humans have emerged victorious over the Monsters after a war that seemingly took years to find a conclusion. As a result, the Monsters were punished to spend the rest of their existence under an ancient, inactive volcano, Mount Ebott. The Monsters quickly started their own dynasty under the mountain, establishing the Dreemurr dynasty, which would be dynasty until the Monsters were released from Mount Ebott in 2015.
Two siblings weren't keen with this however. Twin siblings: Agate and Copper Lightvale were arguing if the barrier should be kept afloat, keeping Monsters in for an indefinite amount of time, or it shall be destroying, causing Monsters to return.
The arugment had escalated to pretty bad, very quickly. Up until the point the more powerful sibling, Copper, who weilded Determination as his SOUL trait, declared to fight his twin sister. The agreement was pretty straightforward and simple. If Copper wins, the barrier will be kept intact, if Agate wins, however, the barrier will be shattered.
The fight took place at another ancient building that still stands today, even after hundreds of renovations went through; The Svalbard Arena. Already, the fight proved to be a mistake, as Copper's Determination was a bit overwhelming for his twin sister. Agate surrendered and fleed, causing the barrier to remain in place.
