Chapter 11

What's the difference between gossip and scandal? 

So glad you asked, UES forever. 

Anyone can commit a minor indiscretion and generate a day's worth of buzz, but in order for gossip to birth a true scandal, it requires the right person, or maybe two, to be in the wrong place. 

Take three "it" girls on a pedestal. 

Add a crowd eager to see them fall and give them the means to knock them both down.

My eyes widen as I read the recent Gossip Girl blast. Serena is apparently pregnant. 

As I walk up the steps to the school I spot Serena quickening my pace to go speak with her I ask "When were you gonna tell me? Also congratulations, I guess?" 

She grabs me closer to her before whispering that she is in fact not pregnant and that the test was for Blair.

 "Woahhh. Things just got a whole lot more interesting around here. Where's Blair?" I ask. 

"I don't know but I need to talk to Dan first." Serena tells me. 

"Well you're in luck. He's right there." I point in the direction Dan was in. 

We both rush over to him. 

While Serena talks to him I go on my phone pretending not to eavesdrop. 

Once she explains herself to Dan we both take off looking for Blair. 

Jenny ends up running into us with the minions and Blair. 

"Hey you." Serena says but they all ignore her. 

"She's not pregnant" I say, cutting to the chase. 

"And before you ask neither am I." I tell them. 

"Aw, cool" Kati says. 

"Congratulations" Is states next. 

"Celebratory drinks after school?" Hazel offers.

 "Wouldn't miss it." I say before taking Blair's hand and dragging her off into a corner. 

Serena follows behind. 

Serena discreetly hands Blair the box full of pregnancy tests. 

"Take the damn test Blair. Everyone in the entire school thinks I'm pregnant because of you." she says with annoyance at Blair. 

"I'm not pregnant. My period is late simply because I'm stressed out right now okay." Blair tries to explain. 

I grab Blair's hand again forcing her to look me in the eye "Just take it B. We will be by your side if you want too." I tell her.

 "I have to go meet Ms. Finch now about my paper but call me or text me okay." I say.

 Blair nods her head as I run off. 

Chuck sees me passing and stops me in the hallway. 

"So Serena.. is pregnant.. by Humphrey of all of people." he states. 

"It's not Serena. It's Blair" I tell him before waving bye as I continued my route to get to Ms. Finch's class. 

I look over my shoulder to see Chuck with a look of shock and slight disgust on his face. 

Guess he didn't take the news too well.

I stop by Blair's afterschool hoping that she took the test.
