Chapter 37

TW : Some substance abuse 

3rd person POV

"Oh my god!" Jen Kohler exclaims as she watches her daughter collapse to the floor. 

She quickly runs over to her, lifting her head and tapping her face trying to get her to wake up.

 When that fails she dials 911still frantically tapping her face. 

She grows even more concerned when a white substance starts to leave her mouth signaling to her that her daughter was overdosing. 

Jen was now completely ballistic screaming and crying about the state that her daughter was in.

 Once the paramedics arrive they ask if she had taken anything. 

Jen shakes her head rapidly "I don't know. I don't know. I just found her like this." 

She hops on the ambulance with them to the hospital making some calls along the way to people who would want to know that London is being rushed to the emergency room.

 Alex Kohler was out with Lucy getting dinner and seeing a movie when he received a call from Jen. 

Thinking she was up to her same old tricks she had been playing all week he ignored her first call, the second call, and the third call. 

Then his phone started getting flooded with text messages. 

Looking at his phone he read the first one "Alex, this is an emergency." then the second "I'm not kidding Alex, answer me." It was the third one that caused him to be alert when it read "Alex, London's been taken to the ER. Call me now!" 

His eyes widen in fear and confusion as to why Jen was with London and why she was in the ER.

 Lucy notices his change of expression and asks him what's wrong. 

"It's Jen." Lucy starts to grow concerned knowing how much pain Jen has caused Alex over the years. 

"She's with London at the ER right now." he continues. 

"What? Why?" Lucy questions. 

She loved London as if she were her own and this news now made her fearful for the state of London's life.

 They quickly left the restaurant they were dining at and headed to St. Mercy's. 

When they arrive they run down the hallway in search of Jen. 

Spotting her Alex shouts "What the hell happened to her?"

 Jen however is preoccupied by the small brunette standing beside Alex. 

"Who's this?" she asks. 

Alex rolls his eyes already annoyed with Jen. 

"She's Lucy, my finance. Now what happened to London?!" 

Jen looks Lucy over before saying "Hmm, you could do better. Anyway, London overdosed."

 "She what?!" Alex exclaims while Lucy whispers an "oh my god." 

"Yeah, I don't know what she took but I came by to try to talk to her and she collapsed the moment she opened the door for me." Jen explains like it was nothing. 

Alex starts to frantically pace, scared to death of losing his daughter and trying to understand what could have happened for her to overdose.

 Lucy observes Jen and her odd behavior before moving to comfort Alex. 

Blair and Aiden then come running down the hall next. 

Alex looks up noticing them and asks "How did y'all find out?"
