Gossip Girl Summer Tip #2: There is no "we" in summer.

Only you and me.

Find out where you stand before you find yourself stood up.

Anyone can canoodle in July and August, but will he be gone by September?

"So what's next?" I ask Marcus as we ride our bikes down the Hamptons.

"I was thinking about breakfast. A little French toast, maybe some coffee." Marcus answers me.

"No, I mean since you don't go to Georgetown or Princeton, I assume you're not headed back to college. So where are you headed? Are you staying here?" I clarify.

"Would it be too forward of me to say I'll go wherever you go?" he questions.

"Why thank you milord." I say, teasing him.

He absolutely hates it when I call him that.

He rolls his eyes at me before laughing.

"As you've probably guessed, I have to get back to the city. Senior year awaits." I inform him of my upcoming plans.

We get off our bikes and enter into this cute little restaurant for breakfast.

"Hmmm. Let me think. A beautiful girl, autumn in New York. I think I could find some way to entertain myself." he smiles, looking at me.

"Really?" I question.

"Absolutely. My family will be glad I'm staying in one place for a while." Marcus says.

"Ah, yes your family. I can't wait to meet them since you've already met mine." I state.

Marcus awkwardly changes the subject causing me to worry.

I excuse myself to go to the restroom so I could call Serena who was out with Blair.

She picks up on the first ring.

"Things are going south with Lord Marcus." I speak without greeting the pair.

"Who's Lord Marcus?" Serena questions confused.

"James" Blair reminds her.

"Turns out he was only pretending to be a commoner. It's like Roman Holiday only I'm Gregory Peck and he's Audrey Hepburn."

"Ah. Suddenly it's all so clear." Blair states sarcastically.

"He's not really a college student. He's a lord and I love him. Or I can at least see myself loving him." I tell my friends.

"Okay London, are you serious right now? And do you really expect us to believe this isn't all about revenge on Chuck?" Blair questions.

"Revenge is so 12 hours ago. Marcus is a great guy and I feel like we really have something here." I try to convince myself.
