A week had passed since the whole Chuck situation and I was finally starting to feel like myself again.
I baked, well Lucy baked me a cake to take to Dan as a token of my appreciation for trying to be helpful.
I pull on a light jacket and get in the car with Mark so that he can take me to Brooklyn.
Once I get there I knock on Dan's door.
He opens it surprised to see me "Um London, hey. What are you doing all the way out here?"
I shove the cake into his hands smiling.
"A little appreciation gift." I say.
"Oh wow thanks. Did everything with Chuck end up working out because Serena had mentioned you leaving pretty upset." he asks me.
"Oh no, Chuck and I aren't together. But I'm fine with that. Your advice forced us to have a needed conversation and I feel much better after having said conversation." I tell him honestly.
"Well, thank you I guess?" he says unsure of himself.
I glance around his apartment before asking "So, you have any plans today?"
He looks at me shocked that I'm extending a conversation this long with him "No, not quite."
"Great! Let's go see a movie." I inform him.
"Um, okay...but don't you have like other friends that you could do this with?" he questions.
"Dan. You ask way too many questions. And to answer one of them, nope. Blair and Serena are out trying to impress some daughter of a Yale employee. Nate is with Vanessa" I saw with a scowl at the mention of her name "and obviously hanging out with Chuck is the last thing I want to do." I finish.
"Alright. Alright makes sense. Let's go." he says.
Dan and I exit the theatre laughing about a funny scene from the movie when I get an SOS text message from Blair.
"Hey, Dan, would you mind us making a pit stop on the way home?" I ask.
"Sure. No problem." he replies.
We walk into the busy club.
There are too many people here for me to get a good view of where Blair and Serena could be so Dan and I walked to the bar to see if one of the bartenders had seen them or served them earlier this evening.
When we get to the bar I notice Chuck talking to a bartender, "What are you doing here?" I question.
Chuck turns around noticing me with Humphrey of all people and glares a little at Dan.
"I'm guessing the same reason you are." he voices now focusing his attention back to me.
"Come on. Let's go find Blair and Serena." I say getting ready to lead the three of us through the crowd but Dan says, "You know what. I'm gonna use the restroom but I'll catch up with you all."
I say "Oh, okay" at the same time Chuck says "Great" making me roll my eyes at him.
Chuck grabs onto my hand so he doesn't lose me in the large club while we look for Blair and Serena.
Chuck squeezes my hand before shouting "I found her table." causing me to look in the direction he was pointing towards.
We approach the table but Blair informs us that we were late and that the girl they were with had left.
