Winter in New York: A Gossip Girl Checklist to Surviving the Cold.

Cashmere stole for ice skating at Wollman Rink.

Jacques Torres hot chocolate for window shopping the holiday displays.

And the perfect date to the senior snowflake charity ball.

Blair, Serena, and I sit in the courtyard at school going over a list of guys to be potential dates for the annual snowflake ball coming up.

"B, we have other things to do today." Serena says, referring to herself and me.

"Serena, this is the holiday event for high school seniors. The pictures dominate the social pages through New York. I need a ringer." Blair scolds her.

"Wait, all these guys asked you?" I ask, further studying the lists.

"Of course. You think Angelina Jolie even considers a project without an offer?" Blair says in a duh like tone towards us.

"So which one of these is yours for the night?" Chuck questions as he takes a seat at our table.

"What makes you think I'm not looking long term?" I question back.

"Call it a hunch." Chuck replies grinning.

"David Ryan." I speak listing the first name I see on the list.

"Are you kidding? Ever seen the guy without gum? The oral fixation alone would drive you insane." Chuck expresses.

"Okay." I breathe out crossing his name off the list.

"Hey!" Blair yells.

Serena leaves seeing Dan across the way.

Blair then gets up to leave as well, getting a phone call.

"So who's next?" Chuck asks as I continue to look through the list of guys.

I sit at the kitchen table enjoying a late lunch with my father since he was getting ready to go with Bart for a last minute trip to Florida.

"And you'll be back in time for the ball?" I ask clarifying his plans.

"Yes. I promise. It's your last one and I simply have to be there to see my sweet baby girl all dolled up." I smile brightly at him but my smile turns into a grimace as Chuck follows Lucy into the kitchen.

"What do you want Bass?" I question.

Dad stands up so Chuck can take his previously occupied seat kissing me on the forehead goodbye.

"See you tonight." I say as he waves goodbye, grabbing his briefcase and leaving the penthouse.

Chuck takes a seat in my dad's chair, smirking up at me.
