Kian's pov

During homecoming court I look into the bleachers looking for Nani. I see her. looking beautiful. she waves and I get nervous and don't know what to do. I look away. Valeri turns an I kiss her. god I'm an idiot.

I look back up and she's pushing through the crowd. pushing past people and running. "I I gotta go" I say "where are you going" Valeri asks pulling my arm. "I have to..." I run to the bleachers and go up the steps. everyone's looking at me huh? They think

I run into the parking lot and see Nani driving away. crying. "Ah no" I whisper "NAN-" I yell but she's already gone.

"LAWLEY WHAT THE HELL" I hear coach yell. I turn and he and the team are standing staring at me.

Monday morning.

I walk in English immediately looking for nani. she's sitting alone reading. she looks great. she's wearing a California black tank top and a black and white flannel over it with high waisted jean shorts. she has on converse and her hairs loose and curly.

I walk up to her "hi..." I say she looks up her hazel eyes hidden behind her glasses lock with mine. she stands "ms Jess may I use the restroom." she says still looking at me. "yes hurry back" she looks down and tucks a hair behind her ear and walks away. rough.

I sit and sigh.

Class feels like forever all I'm doing is looking at nani. she's concentrating so hard her eyebrows get furry.

Class ends and I honestly don't want to go to science. I go to the football field and sit in the bleachers. I feel the warm breeze on my cheek and I sigh.

I walk back inside for lunch.

Nanis pov

"Nani what are you getting for lunch?" Allison asks me.

I shrug "I'm not too hungry" I say. we walk into the big cafeteria. I take my seat at the two person table with Allison. she gave me her orange to eat.

I look over to Kian's table and he's eating then he looks over at me. I push my glasses up and look back down.

"Ally I do not want to go to tutoring" I say she looks up "why? You have kian!" I sigh "that's why" I whisper "what?" She asks "nothing."

We all into the library and Kian's sitting in the back looking through his book. I walk back and tap his shoulder. he looks up "Nani" he breathes. I set my backpack down "let's get this over with" I say taking out my pencil "what's the capital of-" he cuts me off "Nani can we talk about Friday"

I shake my head "here's nothing to say. your dating Valeri, and I am only your tutor." I say paging through the book "Nani I'm sorry about me ignoring you" I tuck my hair behind my ear "whatever kian. it's just that that was the first social event I have gone to in what, three years? And I thought someone was actually going to be kind to me, and acknowledge my existence, but no. all I got was a front row view of your makeout sesh with your GIRLFRIEND." I open my binder.
