PROLOGUE

Pero hindi ba nila naisip na ang tunay na pagmamahal—gaano man ito kasakit, gaano man kahirap, at kahit ano pa ang mangyari—ay dapat ipinaglalaban hanggang sa huli? Gaano man katagal ang lumipas, ang pag-ibig ay hindi sumusuko. 'Yon ang tunay na kahulugan ng pagmamahal.

Pero sa sitwasyon ni Sinji, siya ang unang bumitaw. Siya ang nang-iwan sa kanilang dalawa. Hindi niya ito ipinaglaban; sa halip, ipinagkait niya sa kanyang asawa ang karapatang malaman ang katotohanan.

She was overflowing with joy that day. After visiting her doctor to confirm the changes in her body, she received the most beautiful news: she was bearing Senri's child. Sinji didn't make a sound. She didn't scream or demand an explanation; she simply turned around and walked away. Her chest tightened with a physical ache, a suffocating betrayal. She never imagined he was capable of destroying her like this.

Before her husband and that woman could even wake up, she chose to disappear. Habang pababa ng elevator hanggang sa makalabas ng building, tulala lang siya. All she could think about was the life growing inside her. Sino nga ba naman ang magtitiis sa isang tulad niya? Tahimik siyang sumusubaybay sa bawat achievement nila. She buys their albums faithfully, even if they are filled with heavy rock music. Rare lang ang kanilang ballad songs dahil hindi raw ito bagay sa boses ng vocalist nilang si Dezrail, but Sinji listens to every note. Despite the pain, she is incredibly proud of them. Sa likod ng mga anino, nandoon siya—ang kanilang tahimik na taga-hanga.

She knows she looks pathetic. She left him without a word, without an explanation, and without a trace. Senri Daeyl Kurusaki, the man idolized and fantasized about by millions of women, is her ex-husband. Only a few people know the dark history shared between them.
