Author's Note
Hey...how y'all doing. I know it's been awhile since I've updated this book. Like it's been forever and a century but I'm here again. This was a spur of the moment decision while I've been very sick and bored. I was looking through and I was reminded of this story that I never finished and I feel wrong for that lol. So, I'm going to try and finish this story I started years ago and maybe I'll get back in the groove of writing. Thank you to everyone that has read this story, it really does mean a lot to me.
Without further ado, let's get back into the story.

Armin's POV
The first thing I see when I walk in is chaos. The first room I notice being the destroyed living room. The couches are out of their original placement and the table is flipped with the glass broken all over the floor. My mother looks terrified, as she usually is when things get this bad. My father looks enraged. He continued to trash the area around him until he saw me.
"What are you doing standing there?! This is all your fault! Get over here and explain yourself!"
I was scared. Not as much as I was the first time this happened but I still feared for my safety. I walked closer towards both of my parents until he began speaking again.
"So this is where you get all your money from, huh? You go around your school to satisfy people like this Levi individual to make it seem like you have your shit together? You're that ungrateful to the point where you would rather sell yourself than take the help we provide for you. And you call this lifestyle taking care of yourself?"
I stood in silence. Completely confused about why he genuinely thought that is how I earn my money. I thought they knew about my job.
I tried to explain that that wasn't what was going on and that Levi was just a friend and that I had a job. But, he wasn't having any of that.
"I don't want to hear lies. I want the truth. You think that you can go on this whole talk of taking care of yourself to your mother and this is how you 'make a living.' It's embarrassing to have a son like that in this family. You're tainting this family name for your own selfish pleasure after all we've done for you."
He wouldn't let me speak. He wanted me to explain but I couldn't get a word out without being stopped and accused of lying. I felt hopeless being seen this way by my own family and not being able to defend myself. I burst out into tears, unable to form a sentence through all my sobs.
The more I cried the more angry he became. He stopped manhandling the contents of the living room and changed his target to me.
He pushed me around and screamed in my face. Throwing insults at me one after the other. All while my mother stood in the furthest corner crying her eyes out doing nothing to help. I shouldn't expect that since it's never happened before but I still had a sliver of hope.
And it deteriorated as times like this kept happening.
My sister probably isn't even here anyways. She's probably out with her friends ignoring everything that happened to me. Allison never encountered any of this treatment so why would she care?
I heard every word that my father spat at me. Like I always have because there was nothing else I could do about it. I tried to tune it all out until it was over. I didn't want what he said to hurt anymore than it did. I'd heard this plenty of times before so I've become used to the insults. They don't mean as much as they did the first time I heard them.
I was successful for a while, tuning him out, until he told me to 'call him.'
I stayed silent because I didn't know what he meant. I assumed he was talking to my mother.
