The cars pulled up to the large house and parked out front. The 2 groups getting out and heading to the trunks where they had kept the colorful duffle bags filled with paintball equipment, snacks, and drinks. Heading up to the house, masks on top of helmets and heads, Barker knocked on the door. It opened, revealing a woman with glasses and tattoos on her hands and arms. "Can I help you?" she asked, confused as to why it looked like there was a swat team of colorful shooters at her door. You stepped forward, phone in hand. "Hello! We're looking for Ryan? He told us to meet him here," You said showing her the messages between you and said manager.

"Oh! You're the Team he said would be here today. I'm Toby," She said sticking out her hand. You shook it responding. "(Y/n), nice to meet you." you said. She opened the door more and let you all in, saying she would go find Ryan. Standing in the area in front of the Door, a tall guy with a black cap walked by. He stopped mid-step and turned around to look at you and the team. "Swagger?" He shouted, a muffled 'Yeah?' came from one of the rooms upstairs. "Did we forget to pay rent this month?" He asked glancing at the stairs and then back at the group.

"What?" someone said from upstairs after the sound of a door could be heard along with footsteps. "Did we forget to pay rent? There's what looks like a colorful firing squad downstairs." A guy stood at the top of the stairs with a black balaclava and some chainmail on his head. Toby came back through, someone following behind her. "Oh, you're here! I'm Ryan, the guy you talked too," he said Sticking out his hand. Taking it, you spoke. "Nice to meet you in person! I'm excited to be working with you. This is the team, by the way." You said gesturing to them.

"Cam, go get the guys and meet us outside," Ryan said as the tall guy before walked upstairs and started knocking on the doors. "Follow me," Ryan said as you all walked outside.

Standing outside a few cameras had been set up along with 2 guys holding cameras. Ryan explained he would pick up the equipment he had gotten for the group so they could practice properly and show them basic things while he was gone. Ryan essentially told you you could shoot them while he was gone, as long as nobody was injured beyond repair. Smiling, you huddled the Vanguards into a circle. "He said we could shoot them all we wanted as long as they can still do stuff. So I have 2 ideas. We could put them all through a birthday run, or we could line them up and shoot them." You whispered, looking over your shoulder. The boys on the other side of the yard looked mildly concerned that you were huddling.

After discussing for a bit, you all decided that showing them what a paintball felt like with no padding would be a great idea. Stepping away, Barker Stepped forward. "Alright. We've decided on what would be the best introduction to the game will be. So before we get into basics, would you all be so kind as to line up facing that back fence there?" He said pulling his mask down. They looked at the Vanguards who were all pouring the little orbs of paint into their guns and pulling their masks down. "Now hang on," Swagger, you had learned his name was, said as he held his hands up in a defensive way. "There's no need to do that," He said. The Vanguards looked at each other and looked around as if they were discussing how this was the best idea.

"No, this is the best idea," Alistair said scratching the back of his head, looking at the team as they all nodded in agreeance. "Think of it this way, it's better to face away than it is to face toward us," You said, tilting your head at them slightly. Soon, the group had all faced away and stood there waiting on what would happen. The people on cameras moved behind you all, as Barker gave the signal. "Alright Boys, Paint em'!" He said and you all started firing. yelps and shouts of pain could be heard as the group attempted to move away from the shots, with no luck.

Pretty soon, all of their backs and their sides had been colored in a multitude of paint, some of them laying on the ground and some of them propping themselves up against the now paint-covered fence behind them. "Lesson 1! Never go without some kind of armor or padding," Barker said, the Misfits all groaning in pain. "Yeah, No Shit!" Fitz said. Soon, Ryan came back with some boxes with the gear for the group. He pulled out some paintball jerseys with different colors and numbers on them.

They all went inside to change into the paintball uniforms along with padding so the paintballs wouldn't hurt as much, Ryan walked up to the Team. "They looked awful. What did you guys do?" He asked. "Just showed them how a paintball gun works, sir," Barker said as the group behind him snickered.
