=your pov=

You had been practically deep cleaning the house today. When Fitz woke up and went to the kitchen downstairs to make coffee, everything was clean. Dishes were put up, everything had been wiped down, hell, even the alcohol had been put up. After making his coffee and sitting down he noticed the coffee table had been cleaned aswell, a small centerpiece sat in the middle. Everything that had been left out had either been thrown away or put in its respective place.

A few minutes after he had sit down, he saw you walking out of your room looking more tired than usual. You made your usual (coffee/tea/drink/etc.) and sat down next to him. "Rough night?" he asked looking at you as you sleepily scrolled through your phone. "I stayed up cleaning last night. My mom made a call right before I went to bed and said she was flying out then for a Buisness trip and she was gonna stop by." you said, anger showing in your tone. "And that's a problem why?" he asked. "Shes a total neat freak who flips at any sign of drugs or alcohol that isnt wine. Hates that I chose to live here too."

"And why's that?" "Because she doesn't want her 'little girl' living with a bunch of dudes." You responded, mocking her voice at the end. "Damn," he said patting your back slightly in a comforting manner.

Soon, everyone else had come down and you explained the situation. "So that means no weed and drinking while shes here. She'll flip her lid and wont stop bugging me to move out." They all understood and said they wouldn't smoke or drink until she left, so they all went their separate ways for the time being. You sat down on the couch, head in your hands when Toby sat next to you. You looked over at her. "What am I gonna do, Toby? She just doesn't listen. She acts like shes better than everyone." You said as she rubbed comforting circles on your back. "Breathe, (Y/n), Breathe. everything's gonna be ok." She said.

A few minutes later, the doorbell rang. Everyone was either in their rooms or downstairs lounging. "Alright everyone, prepare for hell on heels." You said as you went to the door opening it. "Mom! Hey, how have you been?" You said. Swagger, who was sitting on the couch looking at his phone had never heard such fake enthusiasm in your voice. After some back and forth banter between you and your mom, she walked in.

She kept looking around, as if trying to find things to be nitpicky about. Satisfied she couldn't see anything yet, she walked to a recliner chair and sat down. "So, (D/n[deadname]) How the whole YouTube thing going? Finally realized it wasnt worth it?" She asked. she was always like this. She kept trying to get you to come back and stay with her and work for her in a miserable office job.

"No, actually. It's going well. I'm happy with what I'm doing too." You said glaring at her as she kept looking around. Her eyes landed on Swagger, who kept his eyes on his phone. "You, what's your name and relation to my daughter?" She asked. He looked up from his phone and looked at her. "I'm Eric (that's what I've seen everyone else call him), but Everyone calls me Swagger. I'm Their roommate." he said. You smiled slightly until she looked back at you.

"Where are these roommates I've heard you talk about? Surprisingly clean with all these boys you live with." she said. If looks could kill, she'd be dead. You threw such a hard glare at her she could probably feel your eyes burning into her skull. "They're all working or just hanging around." You said.

Toby walked in while scrolling through her phone. "Who are you?" (M/n) asked. "I'm Toby, (Y/n)'s Roommate. How do you do?" She said with a smile. Your mother frowned and glared at you. "Are you really telling these people that fake name you use is your real one?" She said. "Last I checked, that's my real name." You said crossing your arms. "And last I checked, you were my daughter." She retorted.

"And last I checked, (Y/n) was an adult who can make their own decisions." Toby interjected. Your mother Scoffed, then spoke. "Oh be quiet. You're just a man pretending to be a woman." She said. Everyone in the rooms eyes, besides (M/n)'s, Had widened.

'oh HELL no!' You thought.

"Alright. I think you've overstayed your welcome." You said walking towards your mom. "What do you mean? I just got here." Dhe said. "No, you're leaving. You can disrespect me and my job, But my friends? Hell no! These guys have been more like family than you ever have. Now get out before I drag your ass to the door myself." You Shouted standing in front of her.

"Fine. But one day you'll see moving here was a terrible idea and you'll come crawling back to me." She said grabbing her bag and leaving for the door. "You wish!" You shouted as the door slammed shut.

"Holy shit I can't believe I just did that." You said looking at your now shaking hands. You had never even thought about standing to your mom, let alone shouting at her. You started tearing up slightly, your anxiety catching up. Toby came up to you, pulling you into a tight hug. "Thank you." She said.

Swagger went up to the two of you and hugged the two of you aswell. "It was nothing Toby. Nobody messes with you guys."
