2 days.

The group had left 2 days ago to complete a mission out of town and they were on the way back. The drive back was tedious and long, but in the end, it would be worth it to get back home and take shower and get some sleep. The drive had been, what, 18 hours? Everyone took shifts driving the car so the others could rest. Currently, it was Terrorizers- or Brians- turn to drive. Vanoss- or Evan- and Moo- Or Brock, were passed out in the back seat while you sat in the front leaning on the window to your right, a fresh piece of gauze and some medical tape covered your left eye. Some goon had tackled you from the side and had managed to slash his knife across your face right before you shot him. "'Least Toonz'l have someone to match with now," you thought, chuckling to yourself slightly.

You watched as Terrorizer pulled up to a gas station- the kind you would usually stop at while on a road trip, the nice kind with the wendy's attached to it- and parked the car next to a gas pump. "Gas low?" You mumbled out as he got out. "Yup, was gonna wake up the others and see if anyone wanted to run in and get snacks." You sat up and got out, stretching as you heard the car door next to yours open then close, as you watched Evan stand next to you as the two of you started to walk to the gas station, Brock jogging up to the two of you as you walked in. Evan and Brock walked over to the small aisle with the chips and candy.

Walking up to the counter, you scanned the back wall at the different brands of cigarettes and booze. It wasn't often you smoked, but it took the edge off. And right now, your eye hurt like hell and you knew smoking a cigarette might help. You got the lady working the counters' attention, pointing to the pack of camels on the wall. "How much for a pack of cigs?" The woman glanced at a piece of paper taped on the wall next to the window before turning back to you. "$5.68," She said giving you a tired smile. She didn't really look like she wanted to be there. Reaching into your wallet, you placed a 10 dollar bill on the counter. "Keep the change," you said as she gave you a smile and handed you the pack. "If ya don't mind me bein' nosey, what happened to your eye?" She asked. "Freak accident, I'm fine though," You said. You weren't technically lying, but she didn't need to know that.

As the woman turned around and you started to walk off to the car again, a hand reached out and yanked you down to the floor. Before a yelp could escape your mouth, a hand was placed over your mouth. Looking over, you saw Moo glancing over his shoulder out at the door.

"What's-" You started but were shushed. Moo jerked his head over to the two men standing in the door, not so concealed firearms in their pockets. "Evan is outside getting Brian, but we don't want to raise attention. He said to give a signal when we needed them to come in," He whispered to you. Glancing at him, you responded. "How do we know these guys are bad?" You asked. Moo pointed to the symbol they both had on the sleeves of their jackets. A red dog skull with crossbones under it. The same symbol of the people you had taken out yesterday. "Shit, I thought we got them all!" You whispered. "Apparently not. We need to get rid of them or get out of here soon." Glancing at the glass case by the register counter, you saw the knives they had on display. You didn't have your gun on you, but you did have a face mask in the pocket of your hoodie.

"I have an idea. I'll draw their attention away, and when I do, find the power room. Should be down the hall. When you get there, cut the power. There's so little light outside, They won't be able to see. I'll take them down." You said pulling a quarter out of your pocket. "What about you? You won't be able to see," He said. "I'll be fine, Just go!" You whispered as you tossed the coin into the closed restaurant connected to the gas station. Putting the face mask on and putting your hood up, you watched as Brock quietly ran off to the power room. Hearing a door open, you watched as he leaned out slightly waiting on a signal. You stood up and walked over to the case with the knives and raised a hand. One of the men spotted you and started walking closer, gun in hand.

Pointing a finger at your friend, the lights suddenly went off. All that could be heard was the sound of glass breaking and bits of metal clanking together. Moving away from your original spot, you heard two gunshots go off. Taking one of the knives, you went behind them knowing they had moved forward to confirm the kill. Finding the man behind the one that had shot, you quickly found his throat and slashed it, covering his mouth and gently setting him on the ground as not to alert the other tango. Stalking up behind him, you jammed a knife in his back, only to pull it out and stab him In the head. He dropped to the floor as the lights flickered back on, only to reveal the two men on the ground.

Moo ran out, grabbing your arm as the two of you ran out before the lady at the register could see either of you leave. Hopping in the car, you saw it was now Evan that was driving. "Drive, we got no clue how many more might be after us. Just go," you said as he nodded and started driving. "Why's your hand bleeding?" He asked glancing at you. "How else would I have gotten a knife? Pulled one out of my ass? They had some in a display case." You said opening the middle console and pulling out a medkit and starting to pull bits of glass from your hand. Wrapping it and putting away the kit, you pulled out the pack of smokes you got and lit one, taking a drag of the cancerous smoke, instantly feeling relaxed.

"Just get us outta here, we're in the home stretch now," You said. Boy, would you guys have a story to tell the others when you got back.
