Tuesday

"Hyein, I have to go to work." Kidoh sighed as we laid in bed together. I whined and pushed my face into his chest. "No, stay for just one more day, please?" I begged. He shook his head no. I sighed and patted his chest. "Alright, I'll go make breakfast."

I made my way towards the door. "Hyein, wait." I turned around and looked Kidoh in the eyes. "Yes?"

"I want you to go to the doctors today. I asked one of my friends to come over and take you."

I didn't know what to say. I know I need to go to the hospital, so I won't say no. I'm just afraid of them making me take more pills. I don't want to take anymore.

"Who?" I asked.

"His name is Park Sehyuk. His nickname is P-Goon. Just call him that when you meet him." He said.

I sighed. "Why do I have to go with someone I don't know?" I asked.

"Everyone else has work," he simply said.

I nodded my head. "Okay, when will he be over?" I asked.

Kidoh looked at his watch that was lying on the side table. "He should be over in about an hour, so make some breakfast, then get in the shower." I nodded and made my way to the kitchen.

Kidoh has tried to make me go to the emergency room for a while now. I always refused to go, saying it is just a bug that'll go away. In a way, I've developed a small fear for hospitals. Not a big fear, just a small one. Too many people die in hospitals. Plus, they're the ones that give me pills for things I don't need. I guess Kidoh's way of compromising is making me go to the doctors office to get a check up.

The only question is, why with a stranger? Why can't we go after he gets out of work? It would be easier if I could just go with someone I'm close with. I don't even know this P-Goon character. He could be a bad guy for all I know.

I sighed as I got out the ingredients for breakfast. I'm going to cook up some instant rice and boil some vegetables since both of us don't seem to have a lot of time.

Once I finished cooking and set up both of our plates, I made my way to the bathroom.

I walked down the hall and opened the door to the bathroom. My face smashed into Kidoh's bare chest.

"You couldn't wait for me, could you?" He said then chuckled. I peeled my face off of his chest and looked up at him. I narrowed my eyes and tapped his face. "Move it, I want to shower." I said.

He laughed and held me close to him. My face smashed against his chest. He began to walk forward with me walking backwards so I was stumbling. "Are you sure you want to shower?" He chuckled again, making me feel the vibrations from his chest. I could hear his heart beat. I loved the sound of it. I closed my eyes and listened for a second.

I slapped his bare, wet back. He let go of me and yelped. "Ow, that hurt." He said. I slid behind him and locked the bathroom door behind me.

"I'm showering! Don't distract me!" I shouted. I heard his deep laugh from the other side of the door. "I love you, Hyein!" He shouted. I felt my cheeks turn red. "Go get dressed!" I yelled.

I finished getting dressed in my usual, comfortable clothing. Jeans, a sweatshirt, and a pair of running shoes. Kidoh kissed me good bye. I gave him a kiss back and he left.

About ten minutes later, P-Goon showed up at the door.

It was an awkward first encounter. "Hello, Mr. Park." I said. He bowed back to me. "Hello Mrs. Jin." I nodded my head, unsure of what to do.

"So, Kidoh wants me to take you to the doctor and wait until you're finished?" He asked me.

I shrugged my shoulders. "You should be telling me. I just found out about this," I said.

He rubbed the back of his neck. The man looked uncomfortable. "I guess we should go?" He asked me. I rolled my eyes up to the sky. This is going to be an interesting day. I can feel it.

I've been waiting at the doctors office with P-Goon for a whole hour. He stopped trying to talk to me and just put his ear buds in. At least I know he doesn't take any interest in me. I bet Kidoh is paying him to drive me around. If he's not then I'm going to pay the poor guy.

Finally, my name was called out. I stood up and walked over to the nurse without bothering to tell P-Goon. He would figure it out eventually.

I sat down in the office and stared at the nurse. "So, what seems to be the problem, Mrs. Jin?" Mrs. Jin, ah I need to get used to it. "Well, I've had this strange sickness fora really long time now."

"What effects are you having?" She asked as she took out a pen and paper. "Well, I've been throwing up when I smell strange food. My body hurts a lot every now and then. I get sick very easily, especially in the mornings."

"Where is the pain mostly?"

I had to think about it. "Well, my feet and . . . Um, my chest."

The woman huffed and looked at me through her glasses. "Mrs. Jin, have you ever thought that you might be pregnant?"

I immediately thought about the argument I had with Xero on my wedding day. I shook my head no as quick as I could.

The woman pursed her lips. "When was your last period?" She asked me. I didn't want to answer the question.

"It was . . . Around two months ago." I said, the embarrassment evident on my face.

"Mrs. Jin, I think we need to have a serious talk." She said.

My heart pounded against my chest.

She left me there crying and told me she would go get the man that came with me so he could comfort me. I told her to leave him alone and that I needed a few minutes. She left me alone.

I've been prescribed with prenatal vitamins and she told me that I can stop taking my medication for my Tourettes. I won't be having any episodes soon.

She told me I'm around 7-8 weeks pregnant and that I need to go to the hospital to get checked out.

I don't even understand how I'm pregnant. It's just not possible. I can't accept it.

I wiped the tears off my face and walked out to P-Goon. He stood up and frowned at me. "What's the matter Mrs. Jin?" He asked me. I shook my head from side to side. "Don't ask."

He drove me to the local pharmacy so that I could get my vitamins.

I didn't tell Kidoh when he came home later that night. I just couldn't.
