Sunday
That Sunday, there was a funeral for their father. I didn't know what to say. I could only cry. Especially when Kidoh went up to the podium to make his speech.
He cleared his throat and tried to keep his cool as he spoke. I listened to him speak from the heart. It made me want to cry even more.
"Last Friday was a mixture of joy and sadness. I obeyed all of father's wishes leading up to his death. I even proposed to the woman I fell in love with under my father's wishes. When I brought her home to meet him, the smile on his face couldn't have become any brighter." He stopped suddenly and started to cry. His eyes looked around and stopped on me.
I looked into his eyes and saw how sad he really was. He started to cry again and everyone around us began to cry too. "Hyein, can you come up here with me?" He asked into the microphone. I nodded my head and walked up to the podium with him.
"This is my beautiful fiance. Dad was so happy to see her on the day of his death. He smiled so brightly. All I ever wanted my entire life was to make my father proud of me; to make him smile. On that last day, I couldn't ask for anything more from my father and he had nothing else to ask of me. We were both happy with the way things turned out. So as he died, Xero and I just talked to him and entertained him. He died smiling. He was a great man and I'll never forget the impact her had on my life."
Kidoh squeezed me close to him. He turned to me and hugged me tight. I hugged him back for comfort. Then we walked back down to our seat together.
Xero didn't want to say anything. He didn't cry a single time during that funeral. His eyes only stared off into space.
It ended rather quickly. After the speaking, the family moved into a small room where the casket was. We sat down on the pillows on the floor and waited for people to come in and pay their respects.
After an hour of getting up and bowing to people and having others stare at me as if I was a freak, I decided I needed a break. I told Kidoh I would be back after I ate something. Then I made my way to the big eating room.
I only scooped out some rice and kimchi into my bowl. I wasn't hungry for anything else. I wasn't really hungry at all, honestly. I just couldn't take it inside that small room with all the sadness. Not that the cafe is any better, but at least I can sit alone and just relax.
After around ten minutes of sitting there, I heard the loud sound of laughter. I wanted to be apart of it. When I looked up to see who was laughing, I noticed that they were coming to me.
Byung Joo, Hansol, Hojoon, and two other men I didn't know were making their way to my table.
"Hyein!" Hansol shouted my name happily. I flinched from how loud he spoke, then laughed from seeing his smiley face. I stood up and walked over to Hansol to give him a hug.
"So that's it? You've officially been taken from me?" I knit my brows in confusion. "What do you mean, Hansol?" I asked him.
"Kidoh took you off the market. You aren't available to me anymore." He pouted as if he was really upset by what he just said.
I heard a familiar chuckle step in. Byung Joo came over and pushed Hansol away. "She never was available to you, idiot." I giggled and accepted his hug.
We let go of each other and he took a step back. Byung Joo raised his brow at me. "So, two proposals in one week, huh? At first I thought you didn't want to be tied down, but it turns out you were just looking for the right guy?" I rocked my head from side to side. "Yeah, you can say that." We smiled at each other.
"Hey, stop cheating on Kidoh and sit with the rest of us!" Hojoon shouted. I turned around quickly in shock. Did he really just say that? Isn't that a bit dangerous for him to be saying when Kidoh is in the other room?
I sat down at the table with the rest of the guys. One of the new ones I didn't know chuckled and looked at me. "You can cheat with me anytime if Kidoh gets too boring for you." I gasped at his words. "Kidoh won't get boring. Besides, I'm not the type to cheat." Another guy snickered. "You sure about that? From what I just saw you're pretty close with Hansol and B-Joo here."
I sighed and took a bite from my food. "Who are you guys anyway?" I asked the two new ones.
The one who said I could cheat with him spoke first. "I'm Gohn. A business friend of Kidoh's." I looked at the other guy. He swallowed his food and spoke. "My name is Jenissi. I'm a good friend of Xero's." I nodded my head. "Well, it's nice to meet you both," I said.
We continued talking for a while. Then Kidoh, Xero, Sanggyun, and Sanggyun's mother came out of the small room. They went to get some food as well.
Kidoh looked around. I waved my hand. He spotted me and walked over. Once he sat down, he laid his shoulder on my head. "Who knew a funeral could be so tiring and broing?" He mumbled. I giggled and pet his hair. "It's almost over. Finish eating then we'll go home, okay?"
"And down what?" Gohn asked with a smirk on his face and a brow raised.
Kidoh sat up. "Someone like you can only dream Gohn." The smirk fell off of Gohn's face. I laughed. "Good one, Kidoh." He turned and kissed me on the lips. "Thank you," he said.
I tried not to freeze, but it was difficult. Someone chuckled. "Thank you for what? The kiss of the support?" Jenissi said. "Yeah, you have to be more specific if you're going to be like that in public, Kidoh." Hojoon added.
Kidoh joked back with his friends about what he can do in public and what he saves for home. I chose to block it out and not listen. I suddenly became interested in my kimchi.

Kidoh drove Xero home and told him to take good care of Yano. "Aren't we going home too?" I asked him. He nodded his head. "My father's house is now my house and my step mother chose to live with Sanggyun." All I could say was, "Oh."
Once we arrived at the house, he took my hand and guided me to the bedroom. "We need to start planning for the wedding tomorrow."
"Why? We have plenty of time," I stated.
He shook his head, no. "We only have two months. If I don't get married before then, the company will be given to someone else."
That feeling of being rushed came back and I didn't like it.
