Part 55

"10 minutes left" Ethan says, staring sadly at the timer, I punch his arm playfully
"Hey, doesn't mean we are gonna gay separated or anything, don't worry" I smile at him and he gives a weak smile back, I know how he felt, I didn't want this to end but... everything has to end sooner or later.

Most people had gone now, only a few people who we were very close with were still their, the rest had gone home. Amy slowly approach me, Ethan, Tyler and Sean and sat at the table we were at.
"How is everyone?" She gave us all a slightly off smile but i decided to ignore the weirdness and answer the question
"I'm alright thanks, you?" The others all said they were fine, they didn't look fine, the timer had become 8 minutes now.

"I'm okay thanks, God and the Devil have said they will be here when it turns to 00:00:01:00" she said,
"Thanks for telling us" I say back
"Why don't you enjoy your last few moments? All of you?" She says glancing at us all, I suddenly realised, we were all wasting so much time.

"Come on guys!" I pull them all up and signal the band to play an upbeat song, they glanced at the timer which was as now at 5 minutes, they shrugged and started to play.
"Just remember get under the alter before 1 minute" Amy says before we all start to dance.

The music slowly comes to a stop after awhile, God and the Devil had appeared close to the alter but not under it. Two seats had appeared under the alter one was black and the other was white. I glanced up at the clock 00:00:02:00, me and Ethan exchanged sad looks and walked up to the seats, I say I'm the white he say in the black.

"Please everyone that is not Ethan and Mark, do not stand under this alter, please sit down in places you can see the alter" God announced, everyone did as told. The Devil and God turned to us slowly still not under the alter, I glance at the alter again, 00:00:01:45
"Say what you want, it is now the end" The Devil said softly to us both. I look out at all the people that are close to me and Ethan, I smile at them, suddenly the thought of it all ending didn't seem so bad anymore, it was fun, it gave us so many memories and moments, I couldn't complain about a single thing that happened.

"I'll keep it short" Ethan says looking at me, he knew exactly what I wanted to say so I let him speak
"We both appreciate you all so much, putting this all together for us, helping us with everything! You made us happy and gave us memories that we can never forget" Ethan continues
"We may not have had lots of time, but we still had fun" I say
"We may not of had enough time to do what we wanted but we did what we could" me and Ethan day in unison we smile at each other.

My vision started to become blurry, was I crying? I wiped my eyes but there were no tears, Ethan looked as though he was freaking out too I look around to God and the Devil, I could make out them smiling sadly
"Memento mori, Unus Annus" they says as my vision went completely black.
