Klaus and I had been in Portland for a bit over a week, and it had been over two weeks since I had contact with anyone from Mystic Falls. I looked to a few of the hybrids that surrounded Klaus and me, frowning before my attention was swapped to Klaus answering a phone call.

"Portland is fantastic, once you get over all the whiney music and healthy-looking people. It's literally a breeding ground for werewolves." I saw the smirk on his face drop before he continued talking. "What did you say to me?" I stood up, walking over to the Original to figure out the problem as he continued talking, his expression becoming less fearful. "Well, first, I want you to explain to me exactly what happened." Klaus looked into my eyes for a while, which I assume meant he was listening to whoever was on the phone before his posture became more strong. "I want to talk to Rebekah."

I looked up at him. "What is it?"

He placed a finger to his lips, signifying me to be quiet before he began speaking. "Rebekah, love. What's this I hear about Mikael's tragic run-in with a dagger?" The hybrid closed his eyes for a few moments. "I'll be home soon."

A smile grew on my face as Klaus returned his phone to his pocket. "No more forcing innocent werewolves into being hybrids?"

The blonde laughed at me before replying. "For now, love. It seems we're returning back to Mystic Falls. Just in time for homecoming."

I stared at myself in the mirror of the Lockwood mansion. Klaus had brought me here, giving me a dress before heading outside to help setting up the 'homecoming' party.

(I imagine it to look a bit like this but you can imagine it how you wish :)) )

Klaus had explained his plan to me on the flight back to Virginia. He would ruin the homecoming dance, making Tyler throw the 'replacement party' at his house, giving Klaus the opportunity to use it as a wake for his father. As the band began to play, I assumed it was almost time for people to arrive, with the chatter from people downstairs adding extra dimension to the music projecting from the speakers. I took one last look in the mirror, seeing Klaus appear behind me.

"Ready, love?" I smiled, turning to face him.

"What do you think?"

"I think you look absolutely exquisite, my precious Amity."

I laughed to myself slightly, meeting his eyes. "Can you believe I've been imagining this night since I was about 7, and now it's not even going to happen?" He looked at me with sadness evident on his face.

"Amity, I promise you I will do as much as possible to ensure this night is everything you dreamed, and more." I smiled before the hybrid pulled me into his arms, embracing me in a hug.
