Chapter 1.

"Sofia seriously! Your name is the capital of a country you'd think that you would know what the capital of France is!" Brad exclaimed putting his head in his hands in exasperation. "You drive me insane!" My best friend threw his head back against the car seat.

"Hey, I only know I'm named after the capital of Bulgaria because my parents told me, if I wasn't named this I probably wouldn't be able to tell you what the capital of Bulgaria is!" I laughed at my own stupidity. "Brad, you've known my for a year now you'd think that you would know that I'm not the smartest person out there." I rolled my eyes at Brads fake shock.

"LOOK OUT!" Brad yelled, I noticed the black cat in the road and slammed my foot down on the breaks as hard as I could desperately trying to stop the car.

"Oh my god!" I screamed out trying to swerve around the animal. A crashing noise sounded in my ears as I flew forward my seat belt straining and harshly stopping my body from moving. Then it was all over, silent, nothing but mine and Brad's heavy breathing.

I swallowed hard as I realised that somebody had crashed into the back of my car. I quickly remembered the cat and took my seat belt off where it had been was already bruising but I needed to see the cat. I jumped out of my car after turning off the engine. A loud meow came from my feet I looked down to see that cat sat there unharmed looking up at me I sighed with relief, I hadn't killed the cat. I bent down and held out my hand to the black ball of fluff.

"You gave me a fright little kitty!" I told it, it's paw came out to hit me I only pulled my hand back just in time the cat hissed at me before running off. "Not so polite then..."

"Are you ok?" A panicked male voice made me jump, that wasn't Brad's voice. I turned quickly to be met by a handsome man with messy brown hair, I met his green eyes in shock at how good this man looked he stared back with a similarly awe struck expression. He was wearing a casual white v-neck underneath a dark brown leather jacket with causal jeans. "I'm fine, just a little sore." I admitted finally breaking out of my admiring stare not wanting to be creepy he seemed to have the same idea and met my eyes again, he'd been checking me out too.

"I checked our cars and they're fine, it wasn't a hard hit. I saw you breaking and tried to break too I guess I didn't notice fast enough, I'm kind of in a hurry to get to work... I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing? I caused the accident... Are you ok?"

"You don't have to take all the blame, I shouldn't have been driving so fast. And yes, I'm absolutely fine!" He smiled at me, he had perfect straight white teeth which showed in the most beautiful smile I have ever seen.

"We have to go we're late!" Brad called to me from inside the car. "We promised we'd actually attend this year! So if you're all ok can we get going?"

"Shit!" I had to get to college, Brad was right, we were on our last chances. "I have to go, I'm sorry!" I told the man.

"Shit me too... I'm Ryan by the way." He gave me another wonderful smile before ducking into his car I did the same but before I could even start mine he drove around me and was gone, driving away in his black car, which I wouldn't be able to name because I'm not really a car person but it was definitely expensive.

"Miss Diamond and Mr Jacobs need I have to point out that you've managed to be late on the first day back after the new year?" Mrs June the receptionist asked in a patronizing tone, by the expression on her face it was blatantly obvious that she wasn't surprised.

"We got into a car accident." Brad deadpanned. Mrs June's face flickered to embarrassment and she hung her head avoiding eye contact with us. "Thought that would shut you up." He mumbled as we walked away to our first class.
