Chapter 12.
I grabbed my suitcase off of the moving belt and yanked it out of the way so someone else could take my place around the moving circle of cases. It already felt good to be back in America, the heat had blown over me as soon as I stepped off the plane and it was only half seven in the morning. Yes I was English and originally from the UK, but I was raised in America until I was fourteen and then I came back to the UK to join the junior version of TCD and get the 'help I needed to cope in a difficult time'. My dad had really tried to help me when everything happened I was thirteen but there was nothing he could do and he realised this. Sending me to the UK was the best thing for me. Even though I raised here in America I'd always had a common British accent because of my dad, not the posh British accent which American's try immitate, just the normal common accent. My mum being Bulgarian had a mixture of British, American and Bulgarian thrown into one. My dad and she had fallen in love with America and lived here for years before I was born but they came over to the UK for her pregnancy as my mum preffered the climate at that time. Either way I enjoyed coming back to America for a break.
As I left the airport I saw my driver Dennis. I smiled and walked over to his grinning face as he stood beside the white Range Rover my dad had brought me when I passed my driving test back in the UK.
"It's so good to see you Miss Diamond!" Dennis greeted as he held open the back door for me. I handed him my case.
"You too Dennis." I climbed into the back of the car and he shut the door behind me. I didn't really know what my dad did exactly but he was a millionaire, earnt every penny by himself. Diamond Industries owned shares in almost EVERYTHING. My dad wasn't going to retire anytime soon either. After my case was placed in the boot Dennis climbed into the drivers seat.
"Buckle up Miss Diamond. Your dad will be very pleased to see you!" Dennis instructed and I did as I was told. The journey wasn't going to take very long, only about half an hour but I decided it was probably best that I took this time to sleep despite sleeping on the plane. Back home it was half two in the afternoon, yet here everyone was just waking up.
I felt someone push my hair from my face and plant a light kiss on my forehead, my eyes fluttered open to see my dad smiling down at me.
"Good morning baby." He was smiling like the happiest man on earth, I undid my seatbelt and embaraced him. I'd missed my dad. "Oh I've missed you." He held me tight. "Come on, lets get you inside, everybody has come to see you!"
"Cody, Phoenix, De, Brooke and Jayda?" I bemaed as I climbed out of the car. We'd been friends since we were little and dad always let them know when I was coming home! Cody and Jayda were my best friends. Jayda and I had gotten into some trouble together in the past and we always had the BEST summer holidays! Cody was insanely cool, blonde and tan with blue eyes that bagged him any 'lady' he wanted, he was always out surfing and had taught me, well tried to teach me, how to surf however we just decided it was best if I just lay on the board, which sounded perfect to me right now as I looked out over the blue ocean. De and Phoenix had been engaged since they were sixteen and dating since they were just five years old, if you can really call it dating at then. Brooke had joined us when we were ten, she'd moved from Texas and fit in with our crowd instantly. We all lived back in Hollywood but dad would always let them stay with us if we were at the other houses if I was coming home, it's not as if we were short on space!
"Of course." He nodded. "Dennis have you got her bag?"
"Yes, I'll take it up to your room Miss Diamond." He was shutting the boot as he spoke I nodded and thanked him.
"SOFIA!" The group came running out of the large double doors and down the wooden patio steps to the drive. Cody reached me first and scooped me up into a hug spinning me around. Phoenix was next to join in the hug and then the girls all arrived at once and we stood in my driveway hugging it out. I loved coming home to these guys. Sure I had Brad back home but he was pretty much my only friend over here I had my other two best friends and the rest of the guys.
