Chapter 21
-Two days later-
"How does it feel to be home Evelyn?" Ryan asked our little baby girl as he set her down on the couch beside me.
"I bet it feels good hey baby girl?" I smiled down at my daughter as I began to take her out of her car seat. "Can you pop that by the door?" I asked him as I pulled Evelyn out of the seat. Ryan simply nodded taking the seat over to the door.
"I'm going out." He muttered before I heard the door open the swiftly slam shut making me jump.
"Daddy's still angry." I spoke down to Evelyn as I rocked her in my arms lightly. Ryan had barely spoken a word to me after I announced our daughter's full name was to be Evelyn Alyssa Diamond. He didn't have a problem with her first and middle name it was her surname that made him mad. I tried to explain to him that it had to be my last name because no one could no he and I were together. I also couldn't put him on the birth certificate just yet for the same reason. I understand why he'd be upset but angry? No. He needs to be mature and realise WHY I've done it. I want nothing more than to put him on the birth certificate and I'd love for Evelyn to have his last name but it just wasn't possible! The only option I have to make everything better is to drop out of college. Even then would it be possible to do it? Wouldn't the government, or whoever, be able to realise that our daughter was concieved whilst I was still his pupil? "This situation is so messed up." I sighed. I looked down at he beautiful baby in my arms, that Ryan and I created, she was so perfect she deserved parents who had no drama in their life other than who was cooking dinner tonight. She deserved so much better.
-13th November, Sofia's birthday-
"Sofia?" Justin's voice echoed around my apartment.
"Hm?" I opened my eyes from my short nap and looked over the back of the sofa to see my teacher stood in the doorway looking pale and sleep dreprived. "What's up?"
"He's a state again. I don't know what to do with him..." Justin shut the door behind him.
"On my birthday." I sighed putting my head in my hands. "One day? How can he still be mad at me? It's been like two months!"
"I know." Justin walked over to me. "When was the last time you saw him?"
"Urm... the beginning of the month. Then we argued over the fact we live apart, that we never see each other, that I'm doing all the work. He was off his face then though so I don't know why I bothered."
"I'm sorry... Where's little Eve?"
"In her crib. She went to sleep about an hour ago so I thought I'd get a nap in before college." I looked up at the clock to see it shining seven forty three.
"She sleep ok last night?"
"I suppose." I laughed as I stood up from the sofa. "Is he sober enough to work or?"
"I got him up and put him in the shower we'll just see if he shows up."
"Idiot." I rolled my eyes.
"I think you're being very mature. I know how much you want to just tell people about you and him, you want to hang out as a family but you can't and you're handleing it way better than the twenty something year old I call my best friend." He laughed humourlessly.
"I have a daughter to take care of!"
"So does he Sofia..."
"Yeah, well..."
