Chapter 24

-FIve weeks later-

I looked down at the test in my hand.

"Shit." I sighed. 

"What's up babe?" Ryan called to me from the front room. We'd decided, well he'd decided, that five weeks of avoiding my house was long enough and popped up last night.

"N-nothing!" My voice shook. Oh god. I'd started getting suspicious last week but I took the plunge and took a test this week. I picked up the second one and it read exactly the same. Positive. I'd managed to concieve with Ryan on the night he proposed to me because it certainly wasn't down to last nights fiascos.  Evelyn was barely two months old! She wouldn't even be a year old when this one was born. 

"Are you sure?" I could hear him approaching the bathroom and quickly through the sticks in the bin. 

"Yeah! It just kind of hit me that I would be free once I handed this assignment in!" I lied. He pulled me into an embrace.

"I'm so excited. We're going to spend New Year in London. New Years Eve we'll take Evelyn and Tyson down to watch the fireworks. It's going to be perfect." You could hear him smile as he spoke. I placed a kiss gently on my head. 

"And Christmas with your family." I smiled as I relaxed into his hug. "It's nice of them to let us stay with them on Christmas Eve." 

"Well it's either that or we go to London and don't spend Christmas with them." He laughed.

"I 'spose." I pushed him away. "Right, I need to get ready, you ok with Evelyn for a little while longer?"

"Of course, lets pray she doesn't puke on my suit!" He laughed. I nodded and quickly made my way to the bedroom avoiding all the boxes that held the majority of my apartment I was taking with me. Daddy had made it clear that I could keep the flat but I told him I want to leave it behind. Instead however he gave it to Cody and Jayda who had recently sparked up a relationship after their visit to me. It became official last week and although it might be a bit quick for people in an official relationship for about two weeks to move in together that didn't quite work with Cody and Jayda who had known each other since birth. They were super excited to move to the UK and if they wanted to take a five hour journey they could come and see me. I didn't want to return to here though, I'm moving on. Cody and Jayda said they'd only stay here for about a year before looking for a house themselves, possibly closer to me. 

I quickly dressed in some high waisted light wash skinny jeans and a baggy black t-shit which I tucked in. It hung loose and fell off one shoulder. I found myself standing sideways and looking in the mirror. I hadn't completely returned to my pre-Evelyn figure but I'd come pretty close, it just fell off really without much effort, I was lucky. I put my hand on my stomach in there was another baby that Ryan and I had made. 

"You look nice!" Ryan made me jump and quickly drop my hand as he stood in the doorway with our daughter in his arms. 

"Thanks." I mumbled as I tried to supress the blush, he'd caught me looking at our new baby he had no idea existed. I sat down to do my make-up as Ryan just continued to watch. How would he react? I mean he already has Tyson and Evelyn, that's two children, what if he doesn't want anymore? Two is the average amount people want, even better, usually one girl and one boy. But I couldn't find myself to be upset, I mean I actually feel happy that I'm pregnant. I've always wanted a slightly large family. I quickly finished up my make-up and began working on my hair. I decided to just throw it up in a bun, the long brown mass was usually a lot to handle when I had to look after Evelyn. As soon as I stood up to look at myself in the long mirror Ryan wrapped his arms around me from behind and kissed my shoulder before leaning his head on it, Evelyn now just sat on the floor temporarily looking happy enough.
