6 year old Jin had been tossing and turning fitfully for hours. His nightmare disturbing his usual peaceful slumber. In his school they had begun teaching early about soulmates.

"Each child is born with a soulmate mark. Your mark will help you to find the one your meant for. " The teacher explained.

Little Jin looked up confused.

"What if we don't have one?" The woman's eyes dimmed.

"Usually if one doesn't have a soulmark, there are 3 possible results.

#1. Their soulbond could be shown with a spirit animal. Those are usually the strongest of bonds.

#2. They could be a late Bloomer. The soulmate mark could show up anytime between 3 to 5 years.

And sadly,

#3. No one knows why, but there are some that seem destined not to have a soulmate."

Jin's eyes teared up as the realization hit him.

'Would he really be alone forever?'

"SeokJin? Jin! Jinnie what's wrong?!" 7 year old Kitsune cried as she fought her way through his darkened clouds. "Jin! What's going on? Who hurt you!" Kitsune enveloped him in her strong arms.

"I don't have a soulmate, Kitsune!" Jin cried out, his tears falling in sinc with the rain. In his mind his whole world came crashing down the moment he realized he didn't have a soulmate.

Or rather, he thought so.

Kitsune's eyes widened.

"What?! No no! Don't think that! You do have a soulmate. I know you do!" Jin sniffled as he looked up into her golden glowing eyes.

"I do?"

"Of course you do." Kitsune rubbed his back gently, soothing the young boy as the rain began to lighten up.

"Who-Who is she?"

Kitsune bit her lower lip. She knew under the Magix rules she shouldn't give any of her information out to any human but... This was her soulmate. Or rather one of them, at least.

"I am...

I am your soulmate SeokJin. And I will never leave you." Jin's eyes lit up, and the sun shined brightly in his dream.

"Like forever? You promise? " Kitsune giggled.

"Of course I will. Forevermore."
