CHAPTER 2: Rewind
.........
"How're you feeling?"
Mina had offered you a bottle of water, letting you take a seat on the bench right in front of the ramen restaurant.
You are still awfully dumbstruck, feeling your legs shivering and you look down the ground.
ーIf Mina doesn't remember... does this only happen to me..?! Why me...?
"I'm sorry. I asked you out shopping with me where you should be resting. Come, I'll take you home," Mina stands and brings her warm hand to you.
You wheeze, knowing if you had continued your routine the loop wouldn't stop repeating over and over again.
"N-no! I'm fine," You stand, still feeling your legs shaking.
"Are you sure? You don't have to force yourself," Mina grabs your shoulder and forces you to sit down and rest.
However, you don't seem to be in a bad shape, on the contrary, you are healthy.
"Can you please give me time to think..?" You say to Mina as casually as you can, and your head faces down, placing a hand on the chin.
"I'll be right back to buy some medicines for you. Stay here," Mina tells you and immediately had disappeared from your sight.
You look down, pondering deeply what could have possibly happened the other night with Nayeon's incident.
Murdered. If she was murdered, she would've been in peace by now but... how did you turn back in time?
ーCalm down... it's too early to assume things that didn't happen yet. It's the same day, but a different timeline. This has something to do with the rewinding of time, obviously.
It's just like that game, called sim dates when you made a mistake or encountered the term, "bad ending," you'll go back to where you had come from, known as "save point".
"Why me...?" You sigh, and suddenly you had sensed a person coming in your direction and took a seat next to you in a few meters distance.
It's that girl with thick glasses, and braided pigtail hair. She wears a normal house outfit that had just finished their chores and escapes the house for air.
You look at the front, facing the ramen store. It is very awkward for the two of you to not speak a single word.
"Are you that weirdo who said Nayeon was dead?" She finally speaks.
To your surprise, she's rather nonchalant. She is about your age. One thing that stood out to her is the whiteness of her skin and large hands that could've been slightly bigger than yours.
You look over to her a little to get a grasp of her face. "Weirdo...?"
"To be honest, I wish she was," She admits as you were caught off guard by her statement.
"Huh?"
"I wish she's dead already. Damn, that stupid idol. She thinks she's pretty, talented, and popular. People are so head over heels over a mere worthless girl. Other groups have no chance against her. God, pathetic," She spits.
You analyzed what she meant and you realize it took you long to think of an answer. "Ooh... what are you talking about? She seems fine,"
"My family stopped talking to me because of that slutty idol. Seriously, what's so good in her? I don't get it. I've no idea people have such poor tastes," She continued.
