Jessica
Tonight, Sara and I have planned to spend to ourselves, without the kids. This is the first on this entire trip. We only have one week left so we have decided to have dinner, just her and I.
"Are you ready Babe?" Sara called out from the bed room.
"Just a minute Honey." I answered back as I take one more look at myself in the mirror. We're having dinner at the beach side so I took out my wine-red dress that hangs low both front and back then flows freely down to my toes. I fixed my hair into a low, one-sided bun and put on very light make up. As I was satisfied with my look, I head out.
Sara's was strapping on her sandals when I said, "I'm ready when you are."
She looked up and me as if she'd seen a ghost. "You are stunning, Babe! I might have to spend the night chasing off anyone who lays their eyes on you!"
"They can look but they cannot come anywhere near, Honey. THIS," I said as I point out to my body and continued, "These belong to someone else." I said as I winked at her.
"Oh? I wonder who that person might be." Sara played along and stood in front of me, just a few centimeters away, looking deep into my eyes.
"I don't think you've met her." I teased and turned around.
"Her? Uhuh. I'd like to meet her so I can check if she is worthy for you." She swung me right back to face her as she planted a deep, passionate kiss on my lips.
After a few moments, we kissed the kids goodnight and headed to the beach for our dinner. The place was set up to just have enough lighting for you to see the people you are with at the table. The waves of the ocean substituted as music. It was so romantic and so intimate. There was a stage set up, I guess there will be a show or a band later. We were ushered to the table up front and center.
"This is so nice, Sara. Thank you!" I looked at her and smiled.
"It is. I heard there will be a band that will serenade the people here and in fact anyone can jump in to sing with them."
"You should sing, Honey. You have a wonderful voice."
"Maybe." She giggled and then sat me down of my chair before she turned to hers.
"Are we early? Seems we're the only ones here." I try to look around but could not really see.
"Well at least we have the place to ourselves. Plus, no one will die tonight after laying their eyes on you" Sara teased and laughed.
"Honey!" I pat her arm and laughed with her.
I can hear people starting to come and then dinner started. The food was wonderful. We were served with a five-course meal all with unlimited wine refill. After dessert, the singer asked who would want to come up stage and sing a song.
"You should Honey." I encouraged her.
"Hmmm... Okay." She kissed me and stood up and went to the stage.
"Hi! What's your name?" The singer asked her.
                              "Hi. My name is Sara."
"Hi Sara. Who are you with tonight?"
"I'm with Jessica, the love of my life." Sara pointed at me and I felt my face blush.
"Wow! She is lovely! You're lucky to have her."
"I am, as well as blessed. Thank you."
"So how many songs are you singing tonight? I assume this is dedicated to Jessica?" The singer looked at me and winked with a huge smile on her face.
"Three if you won't mind, and yes, all for her."
"Of course! Well, let's all give a round of applause. Take it away, Sara!"
"I love you Baby. These are for you."
🎶 Girl, it's been a long, long time coming, yes it has. But I, I know that's it's been worth the wait. It feels like spring time in winter. It feels like Christmas in June. It feels like heaven has opened up it's gates for me and you. Oh girl, I think that you're truly something, yes you are. And you're, you're every bit of a dream come true. With you baby, it never rains and it's no wonder the sun always shines when I'm near you. It's just a blessing that I have found somebody like you. To think of all the nights I've cried my self to sleep. You oughtta know how much you mean to me. It's only right that you be in my life right here with me. I tell you girl, every time I close my eyes I thank the Lord that I've got you baby and you've got me too. And every time I think of it I pinch my self 'cause I don't believe its true that someone like you loves me too 🎶
The crowd applauded as tears were building up. I mouthed 'I love you' as she did the same. Then she went on to her second song as she pulled a chair and sat in front of me, looking deep into my eyes the whole time.
🎶 The first time I fell in love was long ago. I didn't know how to give my love at all. The next time I settle for what felt so close. But without romance you're never gonna fall. After everything I've learned, Now it's finally my turn. This is the last time I'll fall in love. The first time we walked under that starry sky, there was a moment when everything was clear. I didn't need to ask or even wonder why, because each question is answered when you're near. And I'm wise enough to know when a miracle unfolds, this is the last time I'll fall in love. Now don't hold back, just let me know. Could I be moving much too fast or way to slow. 'Cause all of my life, I've waited for this day. To find that once in a lifetime, this is it, I'll never be the same. You'll never know what it's taken me to say these words and now that I've said them, they could never be enough. As far as I can see, there's only you and only me. This is the last time I'll fall in love. 🎶
"I love you Jessica. So So much! Now for this last song, would you mind being on stage with me?"
"Sure Love..." We went up the platform and made me face her, my side to the crowd. She started singing the song and I can feel tears were already falling from my eyes. As she sang, she kept wiping those tears away.
🎶 For you I give a lifetime of stability, anything you want of me. Nothing is impossible for you, there are no words or ways to show my love or all the thoughts I'm thinking of. 'Cause this life is no good alone. Since we've become one I've made a change. Everything I do now makes sense. All roads end, all I do is for you. For you I share the cup of love that overflows and anyone who knows us knows, that I would change all faults I have. For you there is no low or high or in between of my heart that you haven't seen. 'Cause I share all I have and am. Nothing I've said is hard to understand. All I feel, I feel deeper still and always will, all this love is for you. For you I'd make a promise of fidelity, now and for eternity. No one could replace this vow. For you I'd take your hand and heat and everything and add to them a wedding ring. 'Cause this life is no good alone. Since we've become one you're all I know. If this feeling should leave I'd die and here is why, all I am is for you. Everything I do now makes sense, all roads end, all I do is for you. Only you. 🎶
By this time, my vision got blurry with all the tears. She hugged me then it happened. She knelt in one knee, holding my eyes on hers.
"Baby what are you doing.....?" I asked as she smiled and looked behind me for a spit second. Then came towards us were our babies and the staff, both holding a ring box each.
Sara got the one from Sofia first and said, "This ring symbolizes the love we have for each other. It is a symbol of the promise of love and happiness that no other person can bring." Then slid it on my finger.
Next, she got the one from Luke, opened it and held it up in front of me then came the question, "Jessica Brooke... Will you make me the happiest person in this entire universe and marry me?"
All I could do was cry, staring deep into her eyes.
