Jessica

As often than not, I wake up early and earlier than Sara does. So, my morning routine usually consists of freshening up, then head to the kitchen to cook breakfast and make coffee. Once I'm almost done, I head up to wake Sara up if she isn't yet as well as the kids. Then we make sure to eat breakfast together as a family. But today, I woke up to a really bad headache, nausea, heavy, hot, watery eyes, and sore body. As much as I want to stand up, my body just can't. So, all I just do now is lie down and wait for Sara to wake up to fix breakfast herself. Good thing the kids are not here or else they'd be grumpy to wake up without food ready.

I closed my eyes again as this flu seems to have hit me hard this time. Within minutes, I felt like vomiting so I drag myself out of the bed and got to the toilet just in time to let it all out. I might have woken Sara up as I heard her call out my name and then found me in the bathroom.

"Oh gosh Baby... Why did you not wake me...? How are you feeling?" She said, running to me on the floor and rubbing my back gently.

"I did not want to bother you, I'm sorry. I really don't feel well, I think I'm going to vomit the entire content of my abdomen. My eyes are flaming!" I said almost crying.

"Oh Baby... Here let me run you a bath to relax you, okay?" She kissed my head and stood to start the bath. She placed lavender, as it is my favorite scent. But she also added eucalyptus which makes it better.

"Okay... Thank---" I could not finish what I wanted to ay and I started vomiting again.

After a few minutes, my bath is ready and Sara helped me in. I leaned back and closed my eyes. I must have fallen asleep as I could not remember anything after I leaned.

Sara

I woke up to sudden movement from the bed which is unusual for Jessica. She is always very quiet and gets out of bed slowly so the sudden movement literally jerked my eyes up. I heard shuffling coming from the bathroom and se sounded clearly vomiting. I stood right up and rush to the bathroom to see her all flushed and tears falling from her eyes.

I run a bath for her and as soon as she stepped in she fell asleep which is good. I decided to leave her for a while and called our family doctor to come over to check on her. After that, I made us some breakfast and prepared tea for her. She loves drinking tea especially when she's not feeling well. But on regular days, tea is the least of her favorite which I find cute.

I made her light breakfast as to not overwhelm her tummy. I just prepared oatmeal and some fruits and tea. I hate oatmeal but I don't want to make her feel beaten up so I will eat a bowl of oatmeal as well.

One everything was ready, I went back up and to wake her but then I saw her already in bed.

"Jessica, Baby, wake up you have to eat." I leaned down to kiss her forehead.

"I don't want to." Jessica pouted and hid under the covers.

"I know Baby but you have to. Come one. And Dr. Vincent will be here at 10 to check on you."

"Mkay... I don't think I have a choice here."

"No, you don't. I love you. Here eat up and drink your tea."

"Just how I like it?" She asked with her puppy eyes. This crazy woman. She still manages to try and be cute despite her condition. My crazy woman.

"Yes Baby, just how you like it. Peppermint tea with a teaspoon of honey."

We both ate our breakfast and after, I brought the dishes to the sink while Jessica laid back down.
