The Baby's Coming

Elena

"Have you guys found her yet?!" Sara yelled as soon as she picked up the phone. God this woman and her patience! I don't know how Jessica can keep up with her.

"Sara..." I tried to stay calm, fully understanding that she is really just worried about the love of her life. I would too if this happened to me.

"Don't 'Sara, Sara' me Elena. Answer me!" She continued on yelling, words that do not go together anymore in a language I think is nonexistent. I looked to Jessica for help.

Jessica quickly motioned her hand for me to give her my phone. As soon as I gave it to her, she called out to Sara in a voice that would make anyone calm down. "Honey..."

"Baby? Oh my God are you alright?"

"Yes, I am we'll talk later when we get home."

The tree of us walked to the parking lot. Jessica ride with Mark as I followed them home with mine. I don't know why but seeing Jessica in a hospital for the second time around made me sick. I did not want to lose her and my heart breaks for Sara and the kids if that happens. I couldn't think of a better person for Those three. I am beyond blessed to be called her sister and I would do anything for her.

We got home and the moment we step foot on the porch, the front door swung open.

Sara

"HONEY DO NOT RUN!" Jessica shouted as soon as I ran to her and engulfed her in a tight hug.

"Whatever happened to you, Baby?" I asked as we walked to the kitchen bar stool and sat. Elena went straight to the kids, Eric on the other hand got glasses of water for us and started to cook something.

Jessica told me everything that has happened and all I could do was cry. This is what I was telling Elena about and how I wished I was wrong but it just proved me right.

"Why are you crying Honey? I'm okay. Look at me..."

"It's just, since this thing happened to me, I've always had that nagging feeling that if any one of us went out alone, something was going to happen. Elena told me that it's not true and that I should not worry. How I wished I was wrong to feel this way but it just proved me right." I cried, my body shaking.

"No, Honey. You are wrong. You cannot keep thinking this way, Baby. We're okay, okay?"

"I'm sorry, I--- AHHHH!" I shouted as I leaned forward from the pain.

"What's wrong, Honey?!"

"There was a sudden pain from my back. It was sharp!" I was still leaning forward, this time reaching for Jessica's arm.

"Try to relax, Honey. The stress is taking it's toll on you and your body."

"I wi—OUCH!" I gripped her like there was no tomorrow. Then there was it. I felt wet.

"Oh my gosh Sara! I think your water just broke!"

This cannot be happening. She's about two weeks early. As soon as I saw her pants wet and shouted about it, Eric came rushing by Sara and hurriedly carried her to the car.

I ran upstairs to find Elena. She was with the kids at the playroom.

"Elena," I called out to her panting trying to catch my breath. "Sara's water just broke and we're taking her to the hospital now. I'll call you for updates. I know Dad and Mamá said they'd fly here as soon as it was time. I'll call them, okay?"
