ᑎᎥǤᕼ丅 19After throwing my leather jacket over the black t-shirt I was wearing, I ran my hand through my hair, groaning and cursing to myself.
I had once again forgotten the fact that I hadn't dried my hair yet.
Winston chuckled as he watched me walk into our hotel room's bathroom once again to wash my hands.
"So, you nervous?"
I looked back at him as I dried my hands, before rolling my eyes and walking out of the bathroom.
"Dude, shut up. I'm not nervous."
Winston smirked before pointing at me.
"Your hair."
After rolling my eyes once again, I stomped back to the bathroom, blow drying my hair with one hand, styling it with a comb in the other. After a few minutes, I emerged from the bathroom once again, avoiding Winston and the stupid smile on his face.
I could feel him still watching me and I finally huffed and turned around to face him.
"Fine, I'm a little nervous. I mean-- I like her, man; I really do. And... if Jay has a problem with that, then I'll deal with it, but I don't wanna fight with him."
"You sure she's worth all this? I mean-- there are plenty of other girls out there."
A smile was instantly on my face as I began shaking my head.
"Not like Sadie. There's something about her that drives me insane and all I wanna do is spend every second with her trying to figure out what it is about her. I just... I wanna figure her out."
"Well, damn, dude. You haven't sounded like this since Ava and that was..."
Winston saw the hardness take over my face and his sentence faded off. We were both silent for a second before he spoke again.
"Dude, I'm sorry."

Ava...
That girl was the love of my life. We were together all through high school and when I found out she spent the summer before our Senior year fucking other guys at her parents' lakehouse, I was heartbroken.
What was left of my heart was set on fire when I realized that she had lied to me the entire last year of our relationship.
After being willing to do absolutely anything for a girl who never gave a shit about me, I promised I'd never fall that hard that fast.
And I was beginning to do just that again-- with Sadie.

"Yo, Noah, you hear me, man? I'm sorry dude. I didn't mean to bring up--"
I shook my head again before looking over at Winston, a dazed smile on my face.
"You're right though, Win. I said I was never gonna dive in head-first like that again. Maybe we should slow things down."
