"You know I always wanna talk babe, I just had to get settled into the hotel first. Now, tell me... how was my queen's day?"

I rolled my eyes the moment I left the bathroom now in my jammies.

Jay was laying across his bed, FaceTiming with his girlfriend, Marissa.

They had been together since they were sophomores in high school, and with Jay on the road this summer, a lot of his time was spent in hotel rooms or on the bus, talking to her.

I had just thrown my day clothes back into my suitcase, moving over to my bed where my phone was charging on silent.

I flipped it over, smiling inwardly when I saw a text that had come in about three minutes ago.

Found a pretty cool record store/coffee shop a block away. Meet me downstairs?
-n.

Jay gave me a puzzled look, before setting his iPad aside for a moment.

"Yo, Sades. What's up?"

I smiled and shook my head, motioning for him to continue his call.

"Just gonna grab something to eat. I saw an all-night diner in the hotel. You want anything?"

I bit my lip a little, hoping Jay wasn't hungry and wouldn't call me on my bluff.

He shook his head before focusing once again on Marissa and his iPad and a bright smile was on my face,as I skipped towards the door, phone and room key in hand.

I pressed the button for the elevator and after a few seconds, it opened. I was surprised to see Noah standing there. His usually slicked-back hair was messy, covering his eyes, under the hood of his jacket.

"I thought I was gonna meet you down there?"

He shrugged and took a couple of steps back, allowing me to enter the elevator.

"Guess I just missed you."

I smiled and shook my head before pushing him against the elevator's backwall.

"You saw me thirty minutes ago."

He gripped my hips, pulling me against him, and I inhaled sharply; that tingly feeling Noah gives me had already started the second the elevator opened, but it was now driving me crazy.

We had just gotten to the coffee house/record store and after ordering our drinks, Noah and I checked out the few aisles of records near the back of the shop.

My fingers scrolled through a few until a smile was on my face as I pulled out a specific record.

"Commercial Break? Why have I never heard of this album from your dad's band?"

I bit my lip, feeling Noah Jr. starting to grow behind me as I subconsciously rocked to the song playing.

"Probably because everyone in the band absolutely fucking hates this album."

"Why?"

HIs deep voice was right below my ear as he placed his chin in the crook of my neck while he rested his hands on my hips.

"It was a weird time. The band was still under control of an old label that didn't really treat them right. They wanted my dad and the guys to come out with something totally not their style, and this was their way of rebelling. The album completely flopped and they couldn't be more okay with that. It's not even their style. It's actual garbage."

He began to chuckle and I could feel the vibration in my back. After taking a deep breath, I turned around and looked up at him, biting my lip nervously.

"Hi."

He smirked softly as his eyes dropped down to my lips for a second.

"Hi. Thanks for coming out with me tonight, Sades. Best date ever."
