Liam and Aubrey met at the location given by Liam and went over everything. Liam does not expect this arrangement to last long. Liam and Zayn have talked in great lengths of what there plans are regarding Zayn's new found family. Zayn had no problems with becoming buddy buddy with his mother and getting to know his siblings. It helped Liam put his plan in motion.
Liam left Zayn at home, he was busy with college classes anyways, and went to go visit his mother. He wanted her input on a few things. He wanted to make sure he didn't make a dumb decision when he decided to merge with Mr. Malik. He also wanted to know if she knew of any decisions his father was going to make before his unfortunate death. Finally he wanted her help as to what to do with Louis, he currently had him locked up in a room. Harry didn't appreciate it but he understood why.
Once Liam arrived at his mother's house he noticed she was standing on her porch waiting for him. He did call ahead of time to let her know he wanted to visit.
"Hey momma," Liam said as he got out of his vehicle.
"Hey baby."
Liam locked his car before walking up to his momma and embracing her in a hug.
"How are you doing?"
"I'm doing good. Come let's go inside." Karen held the door open so her son could walk in, she followed after him.
"So what brings you over sweetheart?" Karen asked as she grabbed Liam a bottle of water, his request.
"I made a decision and I'm trying to make sure I didn't fuck up with making the decision. and I want to know if my next move is going to be a smart one," Liam vaguely explained.
Karen stared at her son, studying him before responding.
"Since you gave me so many details I'll just assume this has to do with the gang?" Karen questioned, being sarcastic in the beginning.
"Sorry, yes it is. I've been told some information but I don't know how true it is. I probably should've came to speak to you before I made the decision I made, but I wasn't thinking properly at the time."
"Want to be a wee bit more specific Liam. I can't help you if you're not going to tell me anything."
Liam went silent, thinking about how he was going to ask the following question. He didn't want to upset his mother by bringing up his father. He witnessed her heartbreak, even though he was only four, when he was killed and he doesn't want her to relive it. but if he wanted answers he had no choice but to ask.
"How was dad killed?" Liam asked quietly while staring at the table they were sitting at. He didn't want to look in his mother's eyes as he asked.
"Look up at me Liam James," Karen said softly.
"Why are you asking me this?"
"Trust that I'll explain why entirely, I just need you to answer momma. Please." Liam looked up and saw tears in Karen's eyes.
Karen explained in full what Liam was already previously told by Zayn's parents. Karen wasn't with Liam's dad when he was killed because she was taking care of Liam. All she knew was what she read and was told by the police. and what Geoff told her he was doing. She was under the impression he was going out to do something gang related, not going out to rob somebody. Not like she has the ability to ask him what the fuck he was thinking, so she just has to go off of police reports. She did know that the police could have easily lied and falsified reports because they didn't like Geoff. but she has no proof of that being true.
"What does this have to do with the gang?" Karen asked as she wiped away her tears. Karen knew all about the gang, she took over when her husband was killed until Liam was old enough to run it. The day he turned eighteen Karen stepped aside and Liam took over. Now Liam had put his mother up in a extravagant house and she had security twenty-four/seven.
"Do you know the Malik's?"
"Yes, everyone knows them. Why?"
"Did you know dad was going to merge with them?"
"Well, yes your father was going to but that was because he had ulterior motives regarding all that," Karen explained.
"Do you know who killed dad?"
"No, that was left out of the report because no one was charged. Why?"
"Well I know who killed him and I have this feeling I will be next eventually. Unless my plan goes through, if I fail then I know I will be killed."
"The Malik's? They were apart of this?"
"Well that's where it gets kind of confusing," Liam said while looking at the table again.
"Explain Liam, before I get irritated with you."
"Yes ma'am. First things first I am dating the Malik's son but he did not know what his father did for a living. Zayn was just as confused as I was when I made a deal with his father. Which I didn't even know it was his father until Zayn told me. I interrogated Zayn heavily and believe that he didn't know what his father did, he knows now though. His father, Aubrey, and his mother, Isa, explained to all of us how dad was killed. How Isa also didn't know that Aubrey was apart of a gang back when they met. Apparently Aubrey wanted to help Isa celebrate her continuing freedom and thus Zayn was created. Isa claims she didn't know about what Aubrey did until recently. Zayn told me his father walked out when he was two so he never knew him. Anyways, Aubrey kidnapped Zayn and I, a couple days ago actually, where we all ended up having a conversation. Well after Aubrey tried kicking my ass. That's when everything came to light and he said dad was going to merge with him. But dad was dead, so Aubrey said he backed off and well now Aubrey asked if I would, and I agreed. Did I make a mistake?" Liam explained, watching his mother's facial expressions while he was talking.
"Well you have most definitely gotten farther than your father did, he didn't know them by first name. Only last names were spoken of. What's your plan you keep mentioning?" Karen questioned.
Liam explained to his mother what his plan was, entirely. His mother was but also wasn't shocked at how alike Liam was to his father.
"Your dad had the same plan as you honey."
"Not surprising at all. But I have another issue as well."
"Explain."
"Zayn's best friend was apparently telling Aubrey all about Zayn. Which is why Aubrey had agreed to meet me, cause Zayn was going to be with me. Zayn's friend, Louis apparently was working for Aubrey but buying from us and sleeping with Harry. I didn't see the need to vet him when Harry brought him around. He's a college student how was I supposed to know he was apart of a gang. I don't even know what he has all told Aubrey," Liam explained, disappointed in himself for letting a rat in.
"Where is this Louis?"
"Locked in a room."
"Let me talk with him. I bet you I can get answers from him, without you having to beat the absolute shit out of him."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes Liam. And I want to meet this Zayn."
"Okay momma. I'll let you know when we plan on interrogating Louis, and I'll have you there," Liam said as he stood up.
"Sounds good baby."
Liam gave his mother a hug before leaving to return back to Zayn.
When he got home Zayn was asleep laying on the couch. Liam picked him up and carried him up to their bedroom, laying down next to him. He laid there staring at his sleeping baby, wondering how he got so lucky to be with someone as amazing and beautiful as his boy.
