Chapter 4: New job title, Old drama bomb

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" Zane would wake up in a cold sweat with a loud shout after the nightmare he had. He sat up and quickly patted his head to make sure it wasn't split open by Satan in the fashion of his nightmare. "I'm alive...was that just a dream..?" He said before looking over at the sword he set next to his bed and laughing nervously. "Of course it was a dream...Satan wouldn't come into the world of the living. Not even just to get revenge on me.." He said to himself before sighing and standing up, noticing the time. He remembered that Noelle said he would start work in the morning and he expected her to be knocking on his door any moment now. But there wasn't a knock, at all. Instead, he found a suit and a note. 'Zane, please report to my throne room as soon as you wake up! I changed my mind so your job begins today, so I need to give you your orientation and tell you your job title. -Noelle' is what the note read. Zane would sigh and shake his head before reluctantly putting on the suit. It was a black vest and pants with a blue and white shirt on the outside. After getting dressed, he walked to the throne room and saw the queen sitting in the throne. His face turned red as he laid eyes on her.

Noelle would be sitting on the throne with a smile on her face as she laid eyes on Zane in his uniform. "I see the color I picked out for you was very fitting. It brings out your eyes." She says with a slight smirk as she stands up. The dress she was wearing was a blue form fitting dress that wrapped around her waist and curves. She walked over to Zane and smiled at him as she began to explain what his job title is. "You are the queen's personal royal servant. Anything I ask of you, you must do without fail. If I ask you for a steak, you say medium or well done. If I say jump, you ask how high. Your first job right now is to entertain me. So get to it." She says with a smile as she walks back to her throne and sits, waiting for Zane to begin his attempt at entertainment. "Your life is on the line with your job, in case you need to be reminded. I suggest you hurry." She says as she snaps her fingers and glares at Zane.

Zane would sigh as he began to do all kinds of tricks: standing on his hands and walking around, doing animal impressions, and even falling intentionally. His final trick came when he used his ice powers and created a statue of her before sitting on the ground and smiling and laughing. He would see Noelle looking at the statue in awe as she smiled with glee. She called for her sister and pointed at the statue when Brooke finally arrived. "So, he made you a statue? Our other servants could have done the same thing. So what is the big deal?" She asks crossing her arms as she leans against the throne beside her sister. She wasn't very impressed, and even if she was she couldn't let Zane know that. She smirked at the man and shrugged her shoulders as she began to challenge him. "Make one of me as well. Let's see what the hype is about!" She says before turning to Noelle.

As tired as Zane was he stood up and began making a statue of Brooke. It took him longer than before due to his lack of energy but when he was done, the statue was apparently misshapen. Her head was entirely too big. When she called him out for it he started to laugh as he looked over at her. "I made your head so big because that's how big your ego is. I figured it is the best way to show it." He says to her before he starts laughing. He hears Noelle join in and as he stops he stands up and nods. "I believe my first job was indeed a success. Thank you for this opportunity, your majesty." He says bowing before beginning to walk out of the throne room. He is stopped when he sees Brooke standing in the doorway. She laughs and watches him as he turns around to hear Noelle laughing slightly evilly.

Noelle would look at Zane and smirk slightly as she stood up and walked over to him. "In your job description, you are the queen's personal royal servant. Therefore, you are not free to leave until I say so. You will do what I want, understood? If not, I have a way to deal with you. So, lets move on to the next task you have. You are to accompany me through the town as I go shopping. So, get ready because this will be a very enlightening journey for you." She says as she walks away from him, and heading towards the castle gates. She awaited his arrival and when he finally arrived, she took his arm and the two of them began to walk towards the town. As she pulled him she smiled because she had dreamed of this moment since he first woke up. She brought him to a nearby market and with a kind smile she showed him all the groceries that are usually brought to the castle. She then took him to a nearby shop where she bought more dinnerware. The two finally checked out a clothing shop where Noelle made Zane watch her try on several outfits before she bought them and left the store, heading back to the castle.
