Chapter 28: Three plans come out! Two dates! One champion!

Noelle slowly stirred awake at the feeling of someone watching her. As she sat up, she looked over at the bed and saw Puny was sitting up and staring at her. When she was startled, Puny was also scared as the two of them jumped backwards from each other.

Noelle: "P-Puny, were you watching me sleep?!"

Puny: "I...may or may not have been...observing your sleeping habits. I haven't really...had a chance to sleep in a bed in a while so I couldn't sleep."

Noelle: "Why didn't you say something?"

Puny: "I was going to but...you fell asleep almost immediately and you looked so peaceful, so I didn't want to bother you."

Noelle: "Puny, it's not a bother if you are uncomfortable! I'm here to help you feel better. How are you feeling this morning?"

Puny: "I'm feeling a little peckish. Other than that, I feel fine. How are you?"

Noelle: "I'm pretty hungry myself. Let's brush our teeth and then we shall get our food. Sound good?"

She asked before Puny nodded. She led her to the bathroom, and Noelle gave her a toothbrush. Noelle and Puny brushed their teeth before they walked into the kitchen and saw that the food on the table was not touched at all.

Noelle: "Puny, you stay here. I am going to go check to see if the others are in the throne room still."

Puny nodded before watching Noelle walk out of the room. After she left, Puny began eating some of the food. Noelle entered the throne room and saw nobody around. She saw the remains of them laying on the floor, and she saw some clothes as well as bloodstains, both on the clothes and the floor. She began panicking and as she went to walk out of the room, she saw a shadow overtake hers from behind. She turned around and behind her was the Dark Lord himself, Satan. He stood over Noelle with a smirk on his face before he leaned over and got in her face.

Satan: "Hello, youngling. How are you? You know, you haven't returned to me in a while, general. Is there a reason for that?"

Noelle: "M-my lord! I am sorry. I was merely looking to-"

Satan: "To overthrow me? I do believe that is what has been going on here."

Noelle: "M-My lord, you know I would never! I am fully aware of the punishments for betraying you, so I have no intention of betraying you!"

Satan: "Oh? Then tell me...what have you been doing?"

Noelle: "I have been...gaining the trust of the true traitors and looking to bring them to justice by your side!"

Satan: "Oh, really? Then, prove it. Grab that sword and strike down Conven! That should be easy for someone like you, who wants to bring justice by my side!"

Noelle: "S-sir...with all due respect...attacking him now would be a mistake! He is the one who we all trust! They would all immediately accuse me for his death due to the issues we have had in the past!"

Satan: "Fine! I want his head to me before the end of the week!"

He says before he disappears without a trace. Puny appears shortly after as she sees Noelle crouching on the floor crying.

Puny: "Noelle? What happened!"

Noelle: "H-He appeared...He gave me orders!"

Puny: "Who did?"

Noelle: "Satan...I think he did something to the others. Their clothes are all on the floor and there's even blood."

Puny: "Let me see."
