Volume 2 Chapter 2: The Dark Deal Has Been Made! A tearful, yet fearful reunion!

Brooke stood in the basement of the castle as she looked around. She noticed the different corners of the basement there were things that reminded her of her childhood. A large crib that her parents entrusted her when Noelle was a baby. She remembered rocking the crib to stop Noelle from crying some nights. She saw a sword that her father gifted to her on her birthday, to signify that she would take over the royal court after her next training lesson. She finally saw a mini crown laying on the floor. Brooke walked over an picked it up as she read the inscription to herself.

Brooke: "'For mommy's little princess! Don't ever forget to fight for what's right!' Oh...mom...I'm sorry...I wish you could've been here for me...if it weren't for Zane, you and dad would still be here. I feel so incredibly lost without the both of you. If only you were here to save me...to help me...mommy hold me...I feel so sad here I wish you and papa could save me! I can't believe you both left me here by myself."

???: "Greetings, Brooklyn. May I ask what brings you back to me? Are you crying?"

Brooke: "Sh-shut up, you asswipe! You are in the presence of the princess, so show some respect! I've come to bargain."

???: "I see...well, before we begin...I should introduce myself. My name is Ashley. My friends call me Cat. Short for catalyst. Pleased to make your acquaintance, Brooklyn."

Brooke: "Look, Ashley, I will tell you what...here is the strand of the hair from the demon."

Ashley: "You got me the DNA of the demon?! Give it! Give me now!"

Brooke: "No...I want to be assured you will hold up your end of the bargain. I want to hear you say you will not go back on your word, Ashley!"

Ashley: "Fine! Whatever! I will hold up my end of the deal! Give me the DNA strand!"

He says before Brooke gives it to him. He grabs it and turns into a corner and stares at it with an evil smirk.

Ashley: "Well, this is going to be very interesting. My associates will appreciate this once I tell them...this is going to be amazing! Well, Brooklyn, you're issues with the demon will be taken care of in approximately one month's worth of time! Be on the lookout for the signs, understood?"

Brooke, nervous: "R-right...one month...I understand! I will be on the lookout. But, no matter what, no harm is to come to the wives of the demon. Should any harm befall them, I will be coming after you quicker than you would expect. I will be on you like white on rice on a paper plate in a snowstorm. AM I CLEAR?!"

Ashley: "Crystal, my dear. Now, return to John. I believe it is time for the two of you to come to terms on a baby's name, and prepare to take care of her. Fortune looks like she'll be arriving early for you. Farewell."

He said as he vanished. Brooke was left confused and astounded at the things words. She quickly rushed upstairs and into her and John's room. She found him laying in the bed, reading. She walked over and laid in the bed cuddling up to him and smiling. John wrapped his arm around her and smiled as he looked over at her. He rubbed her back and she began humming slightly as she closed her eyes. John noticed and looked over at her before closing his book.

John: "You seem to be in a happy mood. What happened? Did Zane fall down the steps again?"

Brooke: "Not that I know of, but I will say that I am happy for a reason. One that you don't need to worry about. Instead, I feel like you should just worry about the baby."

John: "What do you mean? She's not due for another two months."

Brooke: "Well, I...went to a fortune teller and she said she will come early. So, about a month from now, we will have our little girl. What was the name you were thinking of?"
