Volume 2 Chapter 10: Despair vs Joy! A Heartfelt Discussion!

Seraph swiftly disappeared and appeared behind her as he kicked her in the back, sending Harley far towards the other end of the cube. As she touched it, Harley flipped and landed on her feet before flipping towards Seraph. She began transforming, soon being a large dinosaur with a spike on its back. The dinosaur ran into Seraph, bumping into his shoulder and cutting him. He jumped back and kicked the dinosaur in its face, sending it and Harley back to the other side once more. Harley wasted no time transforming, this time taking the form of Zane. Glaring daggers at Seraph as ice quickly gathered around him and began encasing him.

'Zane': "Now...freeze in Hell and burn in despair. FROSTBITE!"

'He' called out as Seraph would begin to be encased in ice. He screamed as he tried to beat his wings and run away, but would soon be forced to give into the ice. 'Zane' began to walk towards the ice, looking into it to see what was going on with Seraph. If he was indeed still alive or if he had given in to the ice of despair.

John, in his mind: 'Come on, Seraph! You can do this! You can't lose, okay?! This fight... we have so much to prove! We have nothing to lose and everything to prove! So PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF THE ONE ABOVE, GET OUT OF THE ICE!'

As 'he' approached, Seraph would punch through the ice and grab 'Zane' by the throat, jumping through the ice and glaring into 'his' eyes as Seraph would throw him away and rush towards 'Zane'.

Seraph: "Your despair is good, demon. But, it won't work on someone like me! I will have you know that I would never fall for a trick such as that. Instead, here is what I'll do. I'll show you the true meaning of PAIN!"

Seraph quickly rushed 'Zane' and kicked 'him' into the top of the cube. He soon got behind the shifted demon and kicked 'him' down to the bottom. He was soon able to get control of the situation as Harley soon shifted back to normal.

Seraph, flying around her: "I must admit, that despair tactic did almost have me. But, no despair is too great. Not when my reason for living... my reason to be joyous and happy... is sitting outside the cube smiling and laughing. If you want to beat me, you'll have to do a lot better than that!"

As Seraph flew towards her, Harley dodged out of the way, and quickly caught Seraph's landing with a huge kick to the side of the ribs. As soon as Seraph was sent reeling back from the kick, Harley took the opportunity to change her forms once again. She took the form of Bella Donna, the demon form of Rosemary. Rosemary rolled her eyes and looked away as she heard Bella speaking to her.

Bella, in Rosemary's head: "Is she doing this to mock us, or is she that desperate?"

Rosemary, still holding Carrie: "Bella...not now, please. She's just trying to show off and beat John."

Bella: "Well, she should have thought about that before being us."

Rosemary shook her head and continued trying to heal Carrie, alongside Noelle. Meanwhile, Seraph was starting to slow down his movements as holding the cube up finally began taking it's toll on his body and mind. 'Bella' soon began using her speed to overwhelm Seraph when she noticed he had slowed down. She began using small plant bullets to attack him, hitting his arms and legs in an attempt to bring him to his knees. But, John had gotten an idea. He rushed towards 'Bella' while the bullets were flying. He soon got hit with a bullet in the leg, but grit his teeth and pushed through before he was face to face with her.

He quickly jumped over the next set of bullets, as his hand began glowing. As he landed in front of her, he let out a blast of light from his hands, which caused 'Bella' to be blinded. She stumbled around and gripped her face before dropping her disguise and reverting back to Bunni. Seraph soon approached her and grabbed her hands. He pinned them behind her back before holding them with one hand. His free hand moved to grab her chin before he kissed her passionately and spinkicking Bunni away. Bunni was confused and dazed on the floor as everyone would look on in shock, except Brooke. Brooke was laying with Cascade while in pain.
