Volume 2 Chapter 14: Friends Reconnect! Guys Night, COMMENCE!

As Zane and John made their way out of the castle, they saw Noelle walking with Cascade in a stroller. This brought a smile to both of their faces, since Zane instantly knew that Noelle would make a great mother while John realized that Cascade's aunt was going to make sure she was in good hands. They looked at her and smiled as she looked back at them. All three waved at each pther, before Noelle took Cascade over to see John and Zane.

Noelle: "Where are you two heading off to?"

Zane: "We're going out for dinner. I told John I would show him how to eat demon food without dying, and in exchange he would tell me his deepest secret."

Noelle: "I see! Well, I'm taking little Cassie here on a brief little walk around the castle. I figured until we know for sure that she won't be in any danger, I'm going to have to take good care of her and make sure she knows the escape routes for when she has to hide from danger in the future."

John: "No need. When she is old enough, me and Brooke will teach her how to use her powers. Only for self defense, though."

Noelle: "Well, that sounds splendid! I am still going to show her the best secret passages around, that way it would be much safer. She will have tough opponents, given who her uncle is."

Zane would roll his eyes before looking at the time and shaking his head. He grabbed John and slowly began walking away as he looked at Noelle.

Zane: "Sorry to cut the talk short, but we have to go. It's getting late, so we should probably get going. But, you be safe with our niece, alright?"

Noelle: "You both be safe, as well! I don't want anything to happen to you!"

Zane, and John together: "WE WON'T BE SAFE! IT'S A GUYS NIGHT!"

They said as they ran off while laughing. It didn't take long for them to reach the kingdom and start walking around. They went into a nice place, that was very clearly not for both of them. As such, they had to pretend to be other people. It would be very bad if people saw the king and his brother in law sitting in a strip club even if it was overall more of a restaurant. Anytime someone asked if they were the king or his brother in law, they denied it and merely said that it was a costume. As such, they sat in a corner booth and began speaking, both avoiding looking at the strippers and began talking while waiting for another one of the scantily clad workers to come and take their order. The both of them decided while they waited, it would be best to talk.

John: "So, what should we talk about first?"

Zane: "Let's talk about women. I figured we have a lot to talk about there."

John: "Oh, jeez... where to even begin?! Brooke is..."

Zane: "Psychotic? Insane? Self absorbed?"

John: "Zane, I still am going to marry her. Okay? So, even if she is all those thing, I love her for it. She just... has an unhealthy obsession with beating you and getting stronger to be able to do so."

Zane: "You don't say? What gave it away, I wonder. Maybe all the times she slapped me and threatened me? Or was it recently when she hugged me and then slapped me?"

John: "Oh, please! You and I both know you two are kind of rivals. She gets stronger to beat you, you get stronger to save her, you two fight, and... you win. Which restarts the cycle all over again."

Zane: "Yes, it is nice to have some reason to get stronger. But, she won't get anywhere trying to keep up with the rest of us. Not unless..."

John: "Zane, you're not going to turn my wife."

Zane: "Not your wife, just the mother of your daughter."

John: "My soon to be wife, how about that?"

The two of them laughed before shaking his head as John gestured off to Zane.
