Volume 2 Chapter 16: A True Family Reunion! A True Family Heartbreak!

Zane stood his ground and planted his feet as he stared at Mangetsu and Akuma. He jumped into the air and flew over Xyla's head before landing behind her. He ran towards Mangetsu before phasing past him and looking Akuma in the eyes. Akuma was frozen with fear as he saw the evil look in Zane's eyes before Zane connected with a devastating punch to Akuma. He was sent flying before Zane flew after him. He didn't get very far before Mangetsu grabbed his leg and pulled him back down. Zane turned around and kicked Mangetsu in the face, forcing him to let go as he flew back towards Akuma. Akuma began running away and looking back at Zane.

Akuma: "Mangetsu! I fear I will not be able to escape him for long!"

Zane: "Watch where your going, idiot!"

He yelled at Akuma before appearing in front of him and kicking him up into the air. He jumped up and punched Akuma in the chest, before punching him in the chin and following through, sending him flying away. Before he could turn back to Mangetsu, he felt a blast at him back, which caused him to fully turn at Xyla. She was still staring at Chylled but it was clear that she blasted him. That distraction was all Mangetsu and Akuma needed before they encircled Zane and began rushing him.

Mangetsu went first, attacking him with a flurry of punches with his fists enveloped in dark energy, before punching him to Akuma. Akuma caught Zane's face with a devastating combination of kicks, with his feet wrapped in the same dark energy as Mangetsu. The final kick was also met with a punch from Mangetsu, which sent Zane crashing to the floor as he took multiple deep breaths. Zane tried to fight his way to his feet before Mangetsu and Akuma stood over him. He grit his teeth and punched at them before sending them stumbling back slightly.

Zane: "Rose! Grab Noelle, and Bunni! Take them, you and the others and get out of here! I can hold them off long enough for all of you to get away!"

Rosemary: "I refuse to leave you behind, damnit! I can not let you die! Not at a time like this, Zane!"

Zane's voice got deeper and his eyes turned black, before he turned to Rosemary and shouted.

Zane, transforming: "LEAVE NOW, DAMNIT!!"

Rosemary: 'Don't worry Zane...cavalry is on their way!'

Rosemary teared up and grabbed Noelle and Bunni off of the floor before Zane turned and saw Mangetsu and Akuma's faces smirking at him with toothy grins. He calmed himself as he looked at the two beings, falling to his knees and began crying.

Zane: 'Well...it looks like your king has fallen, Noelle. I am so sorry I failed you...again...'

Akuma "Now then....let us feast on his flesh!"

Mangetsu: "Take it slow, Akuma... let's take his soul first!"

As he accepted his fate a familiar pair of people came in and kicked both people from behind. The people stands tall and looks down at Zane with a smile before crouching before him. It was Montgomery and Claryssa, Zane's parents. They smiled at Zane and helped pick him up as he looked at them, with a goofy smile.

Zane: "M-mom? D-dad?"

Claryssa: "My darling snowflake, your parents have finally arrived. I'm so sorry that we left you behind... I had something that I had to talk to Montgomery about. But, we're here now. Better late than never, right?"

Montgomery: "Clair, I'm sorry to say but now is not the time for jokes. Zane, what is going on here? I haven't seen Mangetsu and Akuma Cyrus in thousands of years. They disappeared one day about a month before Satan's coronation."

Zane: "Long story short, dear old Dad's record is unsurprisingly not clean at all. He killed them before their coronation and usurped the throne from them. He took their moment and made it his, which is not fair. They came back and are taking it out on me. Which, I understand but I'm going to show them why they shouldn't fuck with me."
