I looked down.
"I think you need to leave," Alice said.
"Just let me talk to him for a second," Bella said.
"I'm going out back," I said.
"I'm going to."
"Hey wait, you're not leaving, right?" Bella asked.
I sighed.
"Nope, just waiting until you put the dog out," Alice remarked and grabbed my hand.
We walked out back and Alice smiled.
"Good one."
"Thanks."
We sat out back and within a few minutes Alice had a vision. She looked at me with worry in her eyes.
"He's going to kill himself," she muttered running back inside.
I ran behind her and saw Jacob getting mad.
"Why didn't you let me talk to him?" Bella yelled at him.
"Bella, Edward thinks you're dead, he's going to kill himself."
I looked to Jacob and he looked to Bella angrily. I wanted to punch him so badly. We all ran outside to Alice's car.
"How is he going to kill himself?" I asked Alice.
Bella argued with Jacob in the background.
"He's going to go to the Volturi, they're like the dictators of vampires. They lead over everything, if you commit a crime, they tear you apart and burn the pieces."
I looked to Bella and we sped off. After Alice got bored driving I switched with her.
"Nice car," I said to Alice as I sped off following her gps.
She got a vision and frowned.
"What," Bella asked.
"They rejected him, his gift is too powerful to kill him without probable cause."
"He's going to reveal himself," I said.
"It's the day of San Marcos day, it's the perfect set up, they won't let him get close enough to reveal us."
-
Alice and I walked in shadows with sun glasses and scarves around our heads. We caught up with Bella as she held Edward close to her. The Voltuuri guards stood waiting for us all to meet Aro. A girl named Jane made us all go. We all go into an elevator. I held Bella's hand as we anxiously waited to meet the famous Volturi. A sinister dark haired man walked up to meet Bella and I stood in front of her.
"Ophelia, a newborn. Hasn't anyone taught you the respect you show your makers."
"How do you- nevermind."
"Jane."
Suddenly my body felt like it was being torn apart piece by piece. I screamed out and fell to the ground in pain. I looked to her and I felt a hand on my back. I thought about the bugs and she looked at her arms suddenly. She started hitting her own arms and scratching them harshly. Aro looked to me as I stared at Jane.
"Stop," Alice spoke to me.
I looked down and cleared my head. I looked up and Jane looked at me, almost scared.
"Enough of you!" Aro yelled out.
"Let's get back to why we're really here," Edward spoke stepping up.
-
After watching Alice show Aro the vision of Bella being a vampire we all were going to leave.
"Except for you darling. Stay," he said to me.
I looked him in the eyes.
"I want to see your gift. What did you do to Jane."
Edward looked to me.
"Dont do it," his voice echoed in my mind.
"Do it," Aro said.
"I will not hurt anybody I don't have to. I'm sorry Jane," I said looking over to her angry expression.
He stepped closer to me.
"Let me see."
He grasped my hands quickly and I watched my life flash before me.
"Morgellons Disease. Quite the extraordinary gift. You should be honored. I have a proposition for you. Join us. Live safely in lavishness, with us."
I looked back to Alice and Bella.
"I already have a coven."
With that I turned and walked to Alice and the group. We walked out and got into Alice's car.
-
When we returned to Forks Edward refused to leave Bella's side.
"I guess we'll be moving back here," Alice spoke.
I frowned. My friends in Alaska. Jasper.
"Let's go to Texas," she spoke.
I nodded. We got into her car and drove. After a day or so straight of driving we stopped in a little house in the middle of nowhere. It was so sunny, so I got to see myself sparkle for once. I got out of the car and Alice smiled.
"He should be in there, I'll be out here."
I walked up to the front door and knocked. I stood on the porch and in seconds the door opened.
"Ophelia?" He asked.
I nodded.
"Who is it Jasper?" a woman asked.
I raised my eyebrows as a woman walked up to him.
"It's not what it looks like," he said.
I ran off before he could say anything more. I ran and ran crying the entire time knowing why he was in Texas with that woman. I thought about what I could do. I couldn't go back to the Cullens. I couldn't go back home. I could join the Volturi. I went to Voltura and entered the building the Volturi stayed in. I was welcomed by an incredibly good looking woman.
"Welcome! What can I do for you?"
"I wish to speak to Aro."
"Right this way."
I followed her to the elevator and went to the floor Aro was on before hand. He smiled as I walked in as if he already knew what happened.
"Darling Ophelia, what is it?"
"I've come to join the Volturi."
"Marvelous," he spoke.
"Why did you change your mind?" Caius asked.
"Personal reasons."
"Why did you leave your mate? Your Cullens?" Caius asked in disgust.
"I no longer have a mate. He's as good as dead to me."
"I'm sorry darling," Marcus spoke.
I stood not knowing what to do.
"You will study our law, and then be apart of my guard."
I nodded and was taken to a tower with books.
"Study the laws and then return."
I nodded and started reading the ancient books around me.
-
After spending three days memorizing the laws of the Volturi, I went back to the throne room that the guard stayed in during the day. I was told to stand next to Felix. He was an incredibly well built man, like Emmet, but a little bigger. He winked to me when he saw me taking in his build and I looked away quickly.
