"What's wrong?"

"There's people who are wolves. They turn into huge wolves and they were human."

I panicked as I tried to explain what I saw. Jasper's eyes widened. He grabbed my hand and Jasper called out for Carlisle.

"What?" He said instantly being with us on the stairs.

"There are werewolves here. Ophelia ran into them in the woods."

"Did they see you?"

I nodded.

"I don't know if they knew I was a vampire. Only one of them saw me, but I saw three of them. So when were you guys going to tell me those things existed?"

"We've got to talk to them. We can try and make a peace treaty like we did in Forks."

"There were werewolves in Forks? And we left Bella there?" I asked outraged.

Jasper turned to me.

"They're only hostile towards vampires."

"And Bella hung out with a bunch of vampires. What if they kill her?"

"Charlie's friends with most of the people in their tribe. Bella is safe."

"But you weren't going to tell me about that? What if I ran into them one day while hunting?"

"Where did you see them? Can you take me there?" Carlisle asked.

I nodded. I gave Jasper a quick glare before running off with Carlisle behind me. I stopped when we got close to the river.

"They were by the river up there. They might be looking for me now."

"I can smell them. They are definitely still nearby."

Suddenly a wolf jumped out of the trees towards us. We stepped back and it bared it's teeth at us.

"Hello! My name is Carlisle. Can you please turn back to your human form? We're not here to hurt anybody."

It looked at us and growled.

"We mean no harm."

Suddenly a second one came came out but in it's human form. It was the one who saw me.

"You're vampires! You cannot kill on our land!"

"We don't feed off humans, only animals. I was hunting that Moose earlier," I explained.

"How many are there?"

"Us two and five others. My wife and I and our children."

The wolf in human form looked to the other and the wolf howled. I panicked worried they would attack us.

"You will talk to our chief and he'll decide what to do with you."

"I'll go get the others," Carlisle said and ran off.

I suddenly felt terrified, being alone with two werewolves.

"What's your names?" I asked.

"I'm Luka, this is Otto."

I smiled.

"I'm Ophelia. You just met Carlisle our father."

Suddenly three more wolves showed up. I stepped back as they bared there teeth and growled. Luka looked over to the biggest wolf and I could tell they were talking in their minds somehow. Suddenly Jasper was in front of me and everyone was there in a defensive position.

"Jasper it's ok."

"Stay back Ophelia."

The biggest wolf turned into a human and glared at me.

"Who is the leader of your clan?"

"I am their father. My name is Carlisle. We do not feed off humans, only animals from the woods. We moved here in hopes of starting anew."

"You may not hunt on our lands or feed on any human. If you do we will kill you all."

"We would never purposely hurt a human being," Esme said stepping forward.

Another wolf turned back human looking angry.

"That's really rich coming from a filthy blood sucker."

Jasper hissed as the boy stepped closer to us. He pushed me further back.

"Enough Wes!" Luka yelled.

He turned and ran off into the woods.

"Sorry for my son, he's a bit hotheaded," the chief said.

"We don't blame you."

"The river marks what is our territory. You may not hunt past the river."

Carlisle nodded.

"Consider it done. It was nice meeting you. Goodbye."

Carlisle turned and ran off with Rosalie, Esme, and Emmet. I still needed to hunt. Jasper squeezed my hand. I watched as all of the wolves left. Luka was the last to leave. He looked to me, smiled and then turned into a werewolf and ran off into the forest. I looked to Jasper as he stared into the forest.

"They're gone, you can go back, I'm going to go hunting."

"I'm not leaving you alone out here."

"I'm fine I hunt better alone," I said.

"I don't feel comfortable leaving you out here alone with them."

"I will be fine, I'll be home in a bit don't forget I am stronger than you."

I could tell he wasn't happy, but I ran off anyway. I smelled the air looking for pray. I stopped when I smelled a moose nearby. I stalked it waiting for the best moment to strike. I watched as it dashed through the river onto our side. I jumped onto it and drank it's blood. I wiped my mouth and ran back to the house. With my thirst quenched and everything in agreement, I figured I could go back to reading. I walked up to our room and Jasper sat on the couch in our room watching a western movie. A sat on the couch next to him and I could tell he was angry. I laid my head on his shoulder trying to make him feel a bit better.

He felt so tense it made me worry. I looked up to his face and he concentrated on the movie. Almost as if he couldn't feel every move I made magnified. I dug my nose into his shoulder. His eyes stayed on the movie and I looked back up to his face. He wouldn't even look at me. Could he be that angry? I sat up straight and stared at the wall. I mocked his anger as I furrowed by brows and shot daggers at the wall with my eyes. I looked over and he was still watching his movie intently. I stood up and went around the couch. Fine, if he was going to ignore my presence, I could do the same.

I went over to the suspending chair and pick up the book I left sitting on it. I flipped the book open and curled up into the chair.
