Chapter 14

THE PARTY starts at quarter to seven. Marami na ang naliligo sa pool at ang mga bisita, kilalang friends ni Potchi. May mga from other bands, colleagues at close friends. I won't dare to touch the pool dahil may mga tao na grr. I'll definitely enjoy this evening if Solitaire wasn't around. Speaking of the cheater, he's currently in Hawaiian polo. May kausap na babae saka may hawak na glass.

"Oh, dahan-dahan sa baso, mars. Mababasag na."

Saka ko naman tiningnan ang hawak kong baso. I can feel the tight grip of my hands. Thanks to Nisha for reminding me. Ang babaeng lukaret ay umupo sa tabi ko at trip na naman yata akong laruan.

"Sino ba yang kinagagalit mo ngayon?" Tanong n'ya saka ininom ang isang can beer. She's beautiful, as always. Her toned body was clothed with white halter and a high waisted white short. She's got a pixie cut hair which compliments her round face. She's cute but not that cute. Trust me when I said it.

"Wala lang..." Sagot ko.

Sinundan n'ya ng tingin yung direksyon na tinitingnan ko kanina. She seems get it dahil tumango-tango s'ya at saka uminom uli ng beer. "Yung lalaking naka-hawaiian."

"Ano?"

"No he isn't. Solitaire isn't my type."

"Owwww, you know his name..." Pang-aasar n'ya habang pinandidilatan ako ng mata habang umiinom.

Fawk. Why would I even be spending time talk with this Detective? She's a pain in the ass.

"Asan na yung boyfriend mong malapit nang lumpampas sa kalendaryo?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

She left me laughing and went to the corner where Potchi is talking with the other band we are close with. I just shook my head and take the last sip in my cup then get up. Pumunta ako sa table na nagseserve ng inumin and I found Klye and Dash there. I pick another cup, papaalis na sana ako ng hinarang ako ni Dash.

"Kanina ka pa mag-isa gagi." He's currently playing with his cup filled with half empty beverage. He's wearing shades kahit gabi, gago talaga.

"Where's the sun, motherfucker?" Tanong ko.

"You are the sun, my love. You're hot everyday."

Sinuntok ko s'ya sa dibdib saka naman s'ya tumawa.

"Kinilig amputek." Asar n'ya.

"Neknek mo, nandidiri ako." Sabi ko.

"Totoo naman. Ganda mo ngayon. I mean araw-araw." He drink his cup and look around. "You're not getting into the pool?"

Umiling ako. "Nope. Not with them."

Tiningnan n'ya ang pool na nasa likuran ko. He remove his shades them raise an eyebrow. "Not with Solitaire and Devone?"

Napatingin ako sa tinitingnan n'ya. There, Solitaire is playing water with a girl who got bigger boobs than mine, so her name is Devone. Wtf? Kelan pa ako nainsecure sa katawan ko? My body is perfect. I love it.
