The housewarming party ended with Gavin feeling a little bit nauseous. We just spent a little bit more time before heading home. Nararamdaman ko rin na medyo nagiging okay na ulit si Macey sa akin dahil hindi na siya masungit sumagot sa akin. She even bid me goodbye before we parted ways last week.
But since the party happened, I always noticed Gavin's dark gaze at me—no, more like at us. He's acting that way whenever I am with Javik, which is everyday because I am always with him. Javik, on the other hand, doesn't seem to mind his presence and he even smiles at Gavin. I don't know if he's mocking him, but I can feel that there's something wrong with the two of them.
Javik and I became closer than ever. We would often go to school together and eat breakfast. Minsan din sa gym na nila ako tumatambay kapag tapos na ang klase ko at time na ng practice nila Javik. Doon na ako gumagawa ng mga assignments ko at nagbabasa ng mga lessons namin. Wala rin naman gaanong gala na nangyayari dahil mas focus kami ngayon sa pag-aaral. Gavin is absent today so I figured out that this would be the best time to tell my friends everything. Kakain din kasi kami today dahil sobrang stressed out na raw si Cath and Macey kakaaral. Mukhang bina-backstab ko siya pero ayoko nang mag-sinungaling pa sa mga kaibigan ko. Because as Javik said, they are my friends and they won't judge me.
Dito na lang ako naghintay sa gym dahil nagpa-practice pa rin naman sila Elijah. Nilapitan ko kaagad si Javik nang mapansin na tapos na sila sa practice.
"Hey," sabi ko. "Mauna na ako sa mall ha? Kita-kita na lang sa restaurant."
"Hintayin mo na lang kami," pagtutol niya.
"No, okay lang. I have to buy something pa e. See you later!" Tinapos ko na kaagad ang sasabihin ko at naglakad palayo.
Late ako nakapasok kanina kaya dala ko ang kotse ko ngayon at hindi nakasabay kay Javik. Malapit na ako sa sasakyan ko nang may biglang humigit sa braso ko. Napasigaw ako sa gulat at nalaglag ang susi na nahawak ko. Napangiwi pa ako dahil sa higpit ng hawak nito sa braso ko.
"What's with you and Javik, huh?" May diin na tanong ni Gavin.
"What the fuck, Gavin?!" I yelled. I am so freaked out right now!
