Chapter 17
--
6:30 a.m.I woke up from my alarm. "BEEP BEEP BEEEEEP". I jumped up and groaned immediately turning it off. Today was the day that my mom was going back. I still regretted not spending a lot of time with her. The last time I saw here was the day that I moved here, that was a few months ago. But the week I finally got to see her I was busy..
I sighed and got up from my bed heading to my closet. I grabbed random clothes and headed to my bathroom to do my morning routine. After I finished I exited out and headed out of my room all together. I went into the guest room where my mother had stayed for the week. I knocked on the door softly until I heard a " come in".
I grabbed the door knob and turned it and opened it to see my mom finishing packing. I closed the door behind me and walked towards her and hugged her. "Morning honey".
"Morning mum.. " I said hugging her. "What's wrong hun?" She asked sounding worried. "I-i just wished I hadn't been so busy. So I could've spent more time with you before you had to go.. " I confessed.
"Leslie, You don't need to beat yourself up because you had school and other stuff to do. Being here and being able to see you smile means everything. I'm so glad I sent you here because you seem a lot more happier! I won't ever hate you or anything because you are too busy"
"Having dinner with you and everyone else last night was all I needed.. And this isn't the last time you'll see me so cheer up and help your dear old mother pack" she said smiling. I nodded and helped her pack.
I still regret not hanging out with her this passed week. But she's correct, this is not the last time I'll see her..

6:56 a.m.It was currently 6:56 A.M. We finished packing and I called off school so I could drive my mama to the airport. I helped her carry her things into my trunk. We still had a few minutes to spare so we talked until it was time.

7:20 a.m.It was 7:20 am. My moms alarm went off meaning that it was time to go. We both got up and headed down stairs. We walked out of the house and I made sure the front door was locked.
I got inside the drivers side as my mother got in the passengers side. I was not ready for my mom to go.
I buckled up and started the car, I backed out of the driveway and we made our way to the airport.

At airportWe arrived at the airport, I parked my car and helped my mother with her bags. We made our way to the door and to enter it.
"This is it, Leslie" my mom said stopping and turning around.
"I love you my beautiful daughter, make good choices and don't feel bad for being busy. Spring break is almost around the corner!"
"Keep studying keep doing you.. I'll see you on spring break" she grabbed my hand and pulled me in a tight hug. It felt the same when I left to move here. But totally different.
I honestly didn't like my mom at the time, because she sent me away. But I knew that it was best for me, and moms always do what's best for their child.
I hugged back and kissed my mom on the cheek. "Love ya mom, have a nice trip" I said. She let go from the hug and made her way into the airport. I watched her until I couldn't see her anymore. I sighed and turned around walking back to my car.
I finally made it to my car and unlocking it. I grabbed the door handle and opened it. I climbed into the drivers seat putting my seatbelt on. I let out another sigh after getting my keys out.
