Rachel's POV (Michael's mother)

A few hours had passed, the sun was finally gone for the day and the moon shone on the night sky. Rachel sat at her office desk, spending the last few hours, reading and replying to her emails that clients had sent.

Her finger tips lightly pressed against her keyboard keys, causing it to flood the room with the sound. Her eyes slowly moved to the right bottom corner of her screen, and looked at the time. 8:10 PM she read.

"About time.." She mumbled.

Her hands moved to her mouse, making it move to the top tabs to exit them out. She was lucky and happy that she finished the reply before it was time for her to clock out.

Rachel shut down her computer, watching the screen slowly turning dark, indicting that it was completely off. She looked around her desk and grabbed all the papers that were scattered around and quickly but carefully set them in their right folders, for her tomorrow.

She had finally finished cleaning her desk, and her office to what satisfied her. She grabbed her dark purple cup and swung her purse on her side, while holding her cup in the other hand. She looked around one last time, before making her way towards the door.

She let her free hand, shut the lights off before exiting her office. She smiled while making her way towards her bosses office. Miss. Lamar loved her boss, she was always a kind old lady.

Her hands balled up into a fist and lightly came towards the door, knocking a few times and waiting for an answer behind the door.

"Come in!" The voice behind the door said.

Rachel's hand slowly grabbed the knob opening it, enough to where she could peek her head in, and smiled once she seen the old lady's hazel's eyes shone.

"Oh rachel dear!" She smiled

"Come on sit down! Have some tea!" She said gesturing towards the empty chair that sat in front of her desk.

Rachel opened the door enough to where she can walk in, and sat in one of the chairs.

"Would you like some tea, dear?" The old lady asked, smiling.

"No, I have some water but thank you so much, Mrs. Collins" she smiled.

"Oh alright then" She smiled.

"Soo, I've heard some rumors" she said, sipping her tea and smirking.

Rachel's eye brow raised, with pure confusion. "Huh?"

"So.. What's up with you and Mr. Lewis?" She asked, smiling.

Rachel's eyes widen, and nervously laughed. "U-uhm nothing is wrong Mrs.Collin!"

"You don't have to lie!" She laughed.

Rachel looked down at her watch, and read 8:20 PM.

She looked up, and looked away. "I'm sorry but I'm not lying, we're just friends and Im sorry but I must excuse myself" she said, getting up and brush herself off.

"Okay then, have a good rest of your night, Miss. Lamar" She said, watching Rachel leave.

She said her last goodbye for night, and exited the office sighing of relief. Phew
