explaining/ answering questions ive got
why doesn't he talk? - as a child renjuns dad abused them, when his mother and siblings left it only got worse he wasn't allowed to speak and as a trauma response for that he doesn't speak to anyone. having the internalized fear that if he does speak they will yell or hurt him
why was taeyong so crazy? i thought he was nice - taeyong is going to have a chapter for his explanation when he appears back into the book !!
why make renjun mute in the book? - i tend to right darker or sadder things, my way of making this "dark" is renjun being so badly abused he doesn't speak. it also give the 3 boys a stronger bond, an example is in the library chapter, renjun realized how much jeno cared when he saw jeno remembering the sign language he taught him.
why didn't nomin try talking to him sooner? - they did !! but until recently renjun wouldn't let anyone get close to him that fear stayed with him and it still is but jaemin never gave up so he finally let them in a bit
wait. so who's who siblings ? i'm confused -
sibling break down:
renjun - kun - their sister (she don't have a name lol)
jeno - mark - taeyong - taemin - channie
jaemin - jisung - doyoung
haechan - taeil (not in book yet)
chenle - no siblings
does he ever make a sound? CAN he make sounds? - yes and no he wasnt born mute, he has a voice he can use he just doesn't use it, he doesn't really make sounds but it's possible so if he does make a sound it wouldn't be impossible
