I sat at the center of the conference table. Silence filled the whole room. Sinenyasan ko ang mga nasa harap na mag-umpisa na.

Bumuntong hininga muna ang isa bago magsalita.

I like their presentation. Although the client was a bit sensitive, their designs are perfect.

"Ajourned. Good job everyone." nginitian ko sila bago lumabas.

It was past eleven am when I received an email that my employees designs were rejected. The one that was presented earlier.

Kumunot ang noo ko. Ano ang hindi nagustuhan ng kliyente doon?

I pushed the intercom button. "Cait, please tell Miss Splenda Doroteo to come at my office." I asked my secretary.

"She'll be there in a minute Ma'am."

"Thank you."

Ilang sandali pa ay may kumatok. Si Caitlin yon. "Nandito na po si Miss Doroteo Ma'am."

"Let her in."

Pumasok si Miss Doroteo sa opisina ko. Iminuwestra ko sa kanya ang upuan sa harap ng lamesa ko.

"May I ask why did Miss Victoriano didn't like your designs?" I asked once she's sat.

"H-Hindi ko rin po alam, Ma'am. Sinunod naman po namin ang theme na gusto niya. Pero nung iprinisinta po namin ay bigla nalang nag iba ang gusto niya." nanginig ang boses niya.

I sighed. There are really complicated cluents at times. I nodded.

"I will talk to our client first so we'll know what she really wants, don't worry."

"Opo... Salamat po," tumayo siya at lumabas ng opisina.

I contacted the client immediately. I asked her if we could meet personally.

Nagulat ako nang magreply siya agad.

'No worries, Miss Salazar. I'll go see you at Leilada Nean after lunch.'

Bumukas ang pintuan ng opisina ko. Namilog ng kaunti ang mga mata ko nang makitang si Xy yon.

"Xy? You're early." I glanced at my wristwatch. Eleven-thirty.

Lumapit siya sa lamesa ko at umuklo para sa isang halik. Pinaunlakan ko siya.

He pulled me for a tight hug. After that, he guided me towards the round table.

Napagtanto kong ayos naring maaga siya dahil baka maaga ring pumunta si Miss Victoriano.

"How's your morning?" he put a shrimp on my plate after peeling it.

"Medyo okay lang naman. May kakausapin akong kliyente after lunch. Kaya maayos naring maaga ka."

He nodded. "Just don't stress yourself too much."

Napaismid ako. "Ano ako, buntis?"

He chuckled. "If you want to get pregnant, then we should get married immediately." then I was so shocked with his next move. He pulled something out from his pocket and my eyes widened seeing a black velvet box!

Nag umpisa na sa pagkalabog ang puso ko. Oh my God! May pakiramdam na ako kung ano 'to at kapag naiisip kong baka tama ang pakiramdam ko ay gusto kong tumili ano mang segundo.

"X-Xy..." my voice shooked. I stood up panickly. His hands are about to open the box but I stopped him. "Xy wait!" I chased my breath. "L-Let me calm down first."
