The Sky's Plan For Us

Chapter Two

"We can be." He confidently answered. I rolled my eyes at him and ignored his answer. I then just gave him the location of my condo. The car ride was quiet. I didn't know how to start a conversation with him so I just stayed quiet.

"So, I'm assuming you're from Ateneo. Since your condo is near there." He broke the silence.

"Yes, I am." I simply answered his question.

"What's your course?"

"Political Science, same with your cousin's girlfriend. You?" I asked him back.

"I'm graduating med tech. Well, hopefully. Then I'll be proceeding to med after." He said. I just nodded at his answer and then the car ride was filled with silence, again.

"We're here." He said as I looked out the window, we were already in front of my condo. I fixed my bag and thanked him before opening the door and leaving. "Can I at least get your number?" I looked a him weirdly. Why was he asking for my number?

"I'm sorry, I don't give my number to strangers." And with that I went in my condo building. Once I reached my unit, I couldn't stop thinking about Skyler. I had a weird feeling about him. Ugh! I need to study.

I studied a little more before I took a bath and immediately went to bed after to rest. The next day my friends kept asking me questions about what happened in our ride home and about him. I didn't mind them, I was focused on reading my notes for the quiz that'll be given today.

"What happened, Aimee?! And why didn't you give him your number?!" Liv continued asking questions. Hindi talaga nila ako tinigilan.

"How did you know he asked for my number?" I asked her back. Hindi naman ako nagkwento sakanila.

"He asked Mark to ask me for your number! I think he likes you!" Patiling sagot niya pabalik. Well of course he was Mark's cousin so it was easy for him to ask. Nakakaasar naman, why was he desperate for my number?

"He doesn't. Shut up." I said kind of irritated. I couldn't focus on my reviewers! 

"He does! I swear!" Liv protested. "He doesn't talk to girls! Plus ang sungit kaya nung guy na 'yon. You are the first girl he asked the number from according to Mark!" I just looked at her. 

"Girl, sige nga. Hindi mo type?" Tanong ni Cams. "He has everything you like in a guy!" Dagdag pa nito. I don't even know him, how could I say that he's my type?

"I don't have time for this." I said irritated.

"Sagutin mo lang tanong namin!" Pangungulit ni Liv.

He was attractive, I didn't know anything else about him. But I'm much more focused on my studies, I needed to be. I don't have time for anything else.

With that I ignored both of them and continued reviewing. It think I did well with our quiz naman. I needed to go home early for our family dinner. So after classes I bid my  goodbyes to Liv and Cams and went straight home. Once I entered our house, the helpers went to help me with my things. My mom then approached me.
