The Sky's Plan For Us

Chapter Sixteen

I went to a restaurant near Ateneo. I was about to meet Sky's dad. I was nervous. I didn't know what to expect. Natatakot ako, halo-halo na ang lahat ng nararamdaman ko.

"Good afternoon po, Mr.Lowell." I politely greeted Sky's dad once I arrived in front of his table.

"Have a seat, iha." He said and I sat down in front of him. "Let me get straight to the point. Break up with my son." He said, wala nang paligoy-ligoy. Did I hear that right? 

"Po?" I said, I was shocked. I didn't want to process what he just said.

"Break up with Skyler." He said sternly. "How much do you want?" He asked which offended me. I didn't need his money.

"With all due respect sir. I don't need money po." I respectfully answered him.

"Fine, break up with him or he wont achieve his dreams." He said. "You see, kahit anak ko 'yon kaya kong gumawa ng paraan para sirain lahat ng pangarap niya." He added.

What kind of father is he? Sisirain niya pangarap ng anak niya dahil ayaw niya sa'kin? Hindi niya ba iniisip mararamdaman ng anak niya sa ginagawa niya?

"You may know iha, I don't like you for my son. You wont help him with the hospital.  Your brother is admitted at LMH right? Baka gusto mo pati siya madamay dito?" Nagbabanta niyang sabi. He's crossing the line.

"Don't bring my brother into this mess." I told him. Kung ayaw niya sa'kin ako nalang saktan niya. 'Wag naman niya idamay kapatid kong hindi pa nga nagigising.

"Then do as I say." He said sternly and looked at me seriously.

The weekend arrived. Today was Saturday, nasa hospital naman ako. I was looking at my unconscious brother. I sighed, ayokong madamay pa siya lalo dito sa gulong 'to. I can't harm my family, baka madamay pa ang law firm sa gulo na 'to. I  also can't ruin Sky's dreams. 

I wasn't talking to Sky. I needed to do something. Hindi ko naman alam na pupunta siya rito sa LMH.

"Love, do we have a problem?" He asked worriedly. How can i tell him this?

"Wala. Why are you here?" I asked him back. Sinusungitan ko siya the past few days.

"Why? Am I not allowed to be here?" He asked me back. Puro kami tanong. I ignored him the whole day. "Why aren't you talking to me?"

"Wala lang." i answered coldly.

The following days went by just like that. I hadn't been talking to Skyler. He has been trying to communicate with me pero matigas ako. I'm sorry love, I need to do this.

It was Tuesday today. After classes I drove to UST. I need to talk to him already. I'll get more guilty seeing how hard he is trying just to talk to me. I arrived at UST. I was walking around UST hospital, trying to look for him.
