She is strong but she is exhausted.
"Did you manage to send the email?" I spoke to Andrew, as I finished packing everything for the day. After the weird weekend we had, we decided to act as normal as we could. We both knew that the mayor was following our every step.
"I did," He sighed. "I'll be over at the vet in ten minutes, and I think we might have to stop talking about that email over the phone," I growled. "Yeah, twice I have had to remove the bugs from your phone and mine."
"How is he planting the bugs?" I sighed. "We are the ones who do it, can he have someone else?"
"I think he does," Andrew sighed. "Whichever is the case, we are going to figure it out. Be ready when I honk please." He added and hanged up.
I hanged up the phone and turned to face the vet, I knew that something was off when my own computer decided to record itself.
We had some heavy work to do...
Andrew collapsed on the floor as we finished another insane workout. I was aware that we had a lot of other things to do, but right now, working out seemed to be the decent solution.
Ble had informed me, that the Mayor had tried to hack into the house system and had people around the perimeter, so being the smart people we are, we decided to continue our normal routine.
"What are we going to eat?" Andrew questioned as we walked out of the gym. "I'm would like to eat out, you know? Celebrate that is the end of the week once again, and that we are free to do whatever we want." He wriggled his eyebrows as he hopped on the stool.
I liked my tongue. "Um, we could do that, I don't feel like cooking, I heard that there is a new restaurant in the next town over, about a thirty-minute drive. You in?"
"Heck to the yes," Andrew winked at me. "Let me just take a bath, because I am sure I stink like a dog." He laughed.
I wrinkled my nose. "You sure do," I laughed. "Meet me here in twenty, I have to get ready too," I spoke. "Also, when we come back, I have a new toy we get to play with."
Twenty minutes later, we were both inside the car and ready to make a trip. The real reason as to why I suggested this place, was not for the simple fact that we don't know it yet, no, it is because I am sure there are no bugs in the place, and we can speak freely.
As we drove into the new town, there was a noticeable change in the atmosphere, there was some sort of barricade that we broke into, and instead of feeling it odd, it was welcoming, like if it were thanking me for coming back home...
"Where to now?" Andrew questioned as we parked. I pointed to the new restaurant. "Cheeseburgers really?"
I shrugged. "We needed to get out of town, come on," I spoke as we made our way. "I don't understand how, he managed to get eyes and ears all around the town, without noticing it."
Andrew sighed. "I believe he's been working on this for a long time," He smiled at the waitress. "Table for two please."
"Thank you," I smiled and started walking, but as soon as we entered the area, the tension came to the room. "Andrew," I whispered.
"Yes," Andrew gulped. "I can feel it too."
As I scanned the area, I did a double-check only to stop when some eyes capture mine. I couldn't blink, I even forgot how to speak, and my mind could only go back to the first wolf I saved.
"Astra? Astra!" Andrew shook me. "Hey, are you okay?" I bit my lip and nodded. "Are you sure? I have been calling you for the past two minutes, whom are you staring at?"
"Uhm," I licked my lips. "I swore that I saw someone I knew," I chuckled. "But that is impossible, I don't know, I mean, we don't come here often for me to know someone right?"
Andrew raised his eyebrow. "Sure," He dragged out unsure. "Come on, let's eat and figure this shit out."
As we walked around the park, we observed how different this town was from ours, and there was still something that I couldn't pinpoint.
"Andrew," I sighed. "My giagiá used to tell me a story, it's supposed to be about my ancestors," Andrew nodded. "I am supposed to come from the strongest royalty of lykánthropoi, aka werewolves, from the Diakos Pack. "
"Werewolves?" He chuckled. "Are you insane? They don't exist."
"Come on Andrew, think about it!" I exclaimed. "The wolves are HUGE! And they are trying to kill them with silver! The only thing my giagiá and my mamá told me to stay away because they 'were' allergic to it."
"Yeah well," Andrew sighed. "Say it is true, why on earth aren't you a wolf, or why on earth did you never see your mom or grandma turn into one?"
I growled. "I don't know Andrew!" I exclaimed. "I don't even remember my time in Greece, I just know that we were sent here to run away from the people trying to murder the royalty," I sighed. "Andrew I am supposed to be a fucking Princess, and now that I come to think about it, giagiá and mamá spent a whole lot of time on the forest."
"Yes Astra," Andrew argued. "But that doesn't mean anything!"
"Come on Andrew!" I shouted. "Think outside the box!"
And before we could continue with our argument, a new voice spoke. "Brother?"
