Only fake flowers are flawless.
I had been locked in a room with Andrew for the past four days, just with random breaks where Kais would enter the room, and simply hug me to calm his wolf down. It also helped calm my wolf down too, she didn't particularly like being away from her mate that much, but we had to make sure that we could protect this pack.
In the first two days we managed to create a prototype, and we did try it, around the Pack House, and it did function as we wanted, but we had to make sure that it activated when only new wolves approached the perimeter, so you guess how hard it was to get a blood sample of ALL the wolves and humans that lived within the inside of the pack.
By day four, we had everyone, including Loki, but I was going to delete him from the system at some point, so we started setting up, and finally, on day five, which comes to today, we were making sure to explain Kais, Nathaniel and Liber, know how to use it, and deactivate the silent alarm and such.
It wasn't easy...
"So, wait," Liber spoke and I sighed. "When this blinking lights flickers, like a lot," I nodded my head encouraging him to continue with his question. "It means that a new wolf is near our perimeter,"
"Yeah," I replied with a smile. "And that means that you can check it on your phone, to see if it is a rouge or someone or I don't know," I sighed and rubbed my temple. "Any more questions?"
Kais shook his head as he approached me. "You guys are genius," He spoke. "This is going to help so much," I gave him a half smile.
"Yeah," Andrew smirked proudly. "Just remember that this doesn't mean that we don't need patrols," Nathaniel agreed. "I know this helps, but it is always wise to have patrol and have them change at odd times just like you suggested before,"
"Better safe than sorry," Nathaniel spoke. "Kais, we need to interrogate the one rogue we still have," He chuckled as he stared at me and I rolled my eyes. "Thank you," He whispered and I frowned. "You saved the lives of the pack members, I know that you don't remember what happened and such, but you really helped the pack,"
I gulped. "It's my pack as well right?" I chuckled and they all nodded. "Could we, I don't know, get a real dinner? I have eaten so much mac and cheese, that I don't want to even smell it for the next three months," I chuckled and everyone joined in a laugh. "Say the restaurant that brought us together?" Everyone agreed.
Everything was back to "normal" or whatever we can call normal in this life. I had to send a massive email to all my clients and tell them that I had an emergency and had to leave the town, and then I got word that my house "caught fire" so that I had moved somewhere else, and that I was terribly sorry for leaving all my beloved patients alone. I am sad that I can't practice anymore, but I know, that I can't tell people that I am in the next town over, given that the Mayor is a Hunter trying to get rid of my kind...
I was staring out at the window when I felt Kais come inside the room. I turned to give him a smile and turned back to the scenery.
"Agápi," Kais whispered and I hummed. "I wish for you to be presented to the whole pack," I blinked in surprise. "I was planning on doing so, but then the attacked happened, and well, we have been a tad bit busy prepping the Pack and such," I rested my head on his shoulder. "Say tomorrow?"
"What do I have to do?" I whispered. "Remember that I don't know anything about this,"
Kais chuckled and kissed my head. "I know, but don't you worry, it's nothing too complicated," He gave me a side hug. "I will set a meeting with the whole Pack, and then I will present you as my mate and Luna of this Pack, you have to say from where you come, and that's it," I gave him a face, let's just say that I knew he wasn't telling me something. "Okay," He chuckled. "You'll feel the connection to the Pack, and that means that you are finally going to be able to mind-link with everyone inside the Pack,"
I gave him a nod. "Is there a dress code?" Kais chuckled and got up towards the door. I frowned but he gave me a wink and when he came back, he was holding a gorgeous white and gold dress. "Kais," I whispered. "Eínai ómorfo,"
"It had to be a beautiful dress to match a beautiful woman," He winked and I blushed. "You have two hours to get ready," He kissed my head and walked away. "Andrew will be here to take you where you need to be,"
Two hours later, I was applying some lipgloss when Andrew appeared at the door. He gave me a once-over and a small whistle with a smile.
"But look at you," Andrew chuckled. "All dolled up so that you can finally meet your new family," I nodded. "Are you ready now? Kais has been whining all day long about this not happening soon enough,"
I let out a chuckle. "Let's go then," I stood up and took in a deep breath. "I really mean it, Andrew, if we don't hurry up I will have a panic attack, and I really don't want to,"
Andrew laughed as he grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the room towards the pack meeting that was going to be happening.
Just like Kais had said, the whole pack was gathered in the clearing. The place was decorated with fairy lights, and there was a stage in the centre, in which Kais was proudly standing.
Andrew let go of my hand and motioned me to walk over towards the stage. Taking a deep breath, I did as I was instructed and took my place next to Kais.
"Scala Pack," Kais' voice boomed. "We are gathered here tonight so that I can share with you some news," He smiled at me. "Astra Diakos, Princess and Alpha of the Diakos Pack," Everyone gasped. "Is my mate," Cheers could be heard. "Therefore, she has become your Luna," I took in a deep breath. "Scala Pack, do you recognize Astra Diakos as your new Luna?"
"Yes," The Pack answered.
"Astra Diakos," Kais spoke. "Do you recognize the Scala Pack as your own?"
"Yes," I replied, and just like that, I could hear the bond starting, everyone was congratulating me through the link, but before I could even comprehend what was going on, a silver bullet was shot through my stomach...
"ASTRA!" Kais growled and that was the last I remember.
