Sad birds still sing.

I gulped and tried to calm my breath. How Loki managed to get into Ble was something that I didn't know, nor did I consider it a possibility. I never thought that Loki was this smart, and if he has help, something terrible is about to happen, and what sucks the most, is that I am right in the middle of everything. So good for the good times...

So I decided to do the most sensible thing that I could do, find Loki right away and murder him so that all of this could come to an end. I had two options on the spot, I could go through the secret passage and find myself in the middle of the Pack, or take the other passage and finish at the outskirts of the Pack.

Letting out a breath, I opened both doors and left one ajar before following the path I wanted. I ran as fast as I could through the corridor feeling like it was taking forever to get to the end. Finally, I managed to get to the door, pushing it open, I found myself right in the middle of the Pack.

It was dark, and no noise could be heard, pretty sure the Kais had sent everyone to the secret bunker, which was a great idea so that whatever we were going to fight wouldn't affect our Pack.

"What are you doing here?" Nathaniel sighed. "I almost attack you!" He grabbed my arm. "I thought you were locked away in Kais' bedroom,"

I stumble trying to match his pace. "I was," I started. "But Ble told me that Loki was responsible for everything. So I decided to have a fun game," I smirked, even when he couldn't see me.

"What game?" Nathaniel questioned. "You do know that Kais is going to tie you up in the bunker,"

"Don't take me to him!" I took my arm back. "He is not thinking properly Nathaniel! Both Loki and the Othonos Pack are looking for me, there is no need to put the Pack at risk,"

"Gamó Astra! Could you please understand that you're EVERYTHING for this Pack and for Kais as well, if something happens to you, we are all doomed," Nathaniel cried out.

I knew and understood that, but I also knew that I had to do something, I couldn't just stay protected, it wasn't in me. "I know," I whispered. "But you have to understand that I can't stay put, it's not on me, I need to do something, I can't expect everyone to be fine and not fight myself,"

Nathaniel grunted as he cupped his head. "He is going crazy on the mind-link," He stared at me. "I will tell him that you are with me, he thinks someone kidnaps you, and says you are not answering him," I frowned.

"I, I can't-" I stammered. "Nathaniel," I whispered. "I can't feel my wolf,"

"WHAT?" He roared. "Astra! What the hell happened in that room?" He questioned as he dragged me again towards the Pack House.

Everything was off, and I hadn't realised it. I had some water from Kais' room. I do remember that it had tasted funny, but I thought it was because of the stress of everything, but I have just realized that it wasn't, Loki had been inside the room and tampered with the water, he knew his brother was going to hide me away there.

"Astra!" Kais shouted as he embraced me in a hug. He was only wearing shorts, meaning that he had just turned. "What happened to staying inside your room?" I shook my head. "No, Astra!" He kissed my forehead. "What's wrong?"

I sniffed as I hugged him. I hadn't realised how scared I truly was even when I pretended not to be. "I'm sorry," I cried. "I can't feel my wolf! I, I drank some water from your room, but when Ble told me that Loki had tampered with the system, I knew that I had to get away, the lights went out," I took in a deep breath before continuing. "I decided to escape through the tunnels, and I did escape and I ended up in the middle of the Pack,"

Kais sighed. "Loki tampered with the water then," He held me in a tight hug. "What's your plan, Astra?" Nathaniel growled. "She is going to do whatever she wants," Kais chuckled as he kissed the top of my head.

"Well," I swallowed. "I didn't plan on not having a wolf, so I can't really fight him," I let out a dry chuckle. "But!" I jumped at an idea. "I can pretend that I still don't know that I can't communicate with my wolf, and you Kais, can be hiding away,"

"You want to confront Loki without a wolf?" Nathaniel questioned. "Are you insane?"

"Yes and no," I smirked. "I can still feel my strength and all, so whatever he tampered the water with, ain't as strong as he thought it was going to be. So that means that I can still fight in my human form," I explained. "We only need to find out how to get rid of the Othonos Pack, and we are good,"

Kais smirked as he stared towards Nathaniel. "Everyone thinks we are going to be protecting you, there is a tunnel that takes us out of the perimeter of the Pack, so we are going to send our best fighters and surround them from outside. Have warriors inside and boom, they are literally surrounded from every angle," Nathaniel nodded. "We can finally defeat them, and have peace once and for all,"

"Umm," I frowned. "Why do the Othonos Pack hate you so much?" I questioned and Kais tensed.

"My father killed their daughter," Kais replied. "She was Loki's mate,"
